Quick question. I have an ARC of
that I need to read but I can't remember enough of
can I re-read it even though it hasn't been a year? I'm 75% sure I read it in November of last year.
If you read it towards the end of the month, so its over the 8 month mark, then I'll let you have it ☺
Sarah wrote: "If you read it towards the end of the month, so its over the 8 month mark, then I'll let you have it ☺"KK. The Iron Flower expires the 25th so I'll have to read Black Witch before then but I'll get as close to the 25th as I can. Thank you!
Sarah wrote: "As long as its after the 12th ☺"Awesome! That's even better than since both of those books are huge! Plus I want to read
. I only waited this long cause I thought
was coming out July 1st. Now it's not coming out till August 1st. Very sad.
Sarah wrote: "It's annoying when they push dates back ☹"Yup. I had it happen with
as well but I got an ARC of it so I was only slightly mad. My actually copy arrived early as well so I'm not mad anymore. :)
Can I join to solo and does it need to be YA? I'm new to this group. Been following for a while, but not an active poster yet, so I don't kno how this all works.
Riddhi wrote: "If I DNF a book, will it count?"
Yes, as long as you've read more than 50 pages, and you write a review for the pages you have read, then it will count ☺

Hi Saar, yes you can join solo ☺ You can read any genre of book that you like, as long as it is over 50 pages long (300 for poetry or manga), and fits one of the categories (found at the start of this thread ☺).

You can use one book for one category. You can use each category as many times as you want though ☺

question: i want to read
for this challenge, but there's no page number listed. could i list a site besides goodreads as a source for the page number?
Astrid wrote: "question: i want to read

Just a reminder on the graphic novels rules :)So if it's 300 pages and meets the below, you get 1 point (no page points because it's 1/3 of the total)
* Books must be over 50 pages long, without illustrations. (150 pages minimum for middle-grade books, 300 pages minimum for poetry or books written in verse, 300 pages minimum for manga/graphic novels.)
* As per our normal rules, manga, graphic novels, poetry, and books written in verse will only score 1/3 of the normal points due to reduced word count. So 300 pages = 1 point.
* If your poetry book or graphic novel does not meet the minimum page count, we will allow you to add together the page counts of 2 or more books to make it to the minimum page count. Books will both have to match a description though, and must be posted at the same time.
@Amanda the book i posted is actually a novel without pictures in it! i'll keep that in mind for manga, though!
Astrid wrote: "@Amanda the book i posted is actually a novel without pictures in it! i'll keep that in mind for manga, though!"OH! I didn't realize it was a light novel version, my bad. :)
Guiana wrote: "Are ebook formats counted? Just iBooks aren't?"Yes. Ebook and Kindle are fine as long as it's not 3 times larger than the next highest/average (I can't remember which.). Those are usually ibooks that are sometimes disguised as ebook/kindle versions.
Guiana wrote: "Are ebook formats counted? Just iBooks aren't?"Yes ebooks counts are fine. iBooks aren't allowed due to the inflated counts they usually have. Any page count you can find online will work unless it's way above all the other which iBooks normally are. For example every one on Goodreads, Amazon and everywhere is 300-400 and there's one place with 1000... they won't count that one and that's generally what happens with iBooks but on rare occasion it could be from somewhere else too.
Guiana wrote: "Are ebook formats counted? Just iBooks aren't?"
Hi Guiana, ebook formats are fine, but we don't use ibook or audio page counts. We also don't accept page counts where the count is more than double the next highest (unless we can confirm it on Amazon) ☺

Hello!Sorry if someone already asked but can we find our own ways how the books fit the challenge?
Like: 3 POVs or 3 books in the series,...
Thank you :)
You can have 3 points of view, but only if its clear on the books Goodreads page that the book has 3 points of view. And you can have a book which is part of a trilogy, as long as there are exactly 3 books (not including novellas) all books in the series would need to be published though ☺

Can I just confirm regarding buddy reads: You are able to join a BR 14 days after the last comment, does this also apply to last months GBR? I plan on reading Let It Snow, and want to know if I can buddy read it. The last comment on thread was June 22, so I think it's fine, but the rules listed were a little different for the group reads of the month, so I just wanted to confirm.
The rules are different for GBRs, they're active for 1 month from their start date, and after that they're considered dead. So as Let it Snow started June 1st, that one ended on July 1st. If you wanted to buddy read it now, you would need to find a new buddy unfortunately.
Sure ☺ I'll add you now -

Hi Robyn, we haven't had anyone pull out, but I did message two people who never checked in yesterday. They each have just over 24 hours in which to check in or message me though, so it will be a minimum of say 25 hours until I'm going to know if I've got spaces or not. your points can always be moved over if you post on the solo review thread though ☺
