The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff -> Restarting July 14th, 2025
just got my copy! starting soon :D
Okay. I’m so bad. I haven’t been updating. I’ll do a big one I guess.I’m on page 432 right now. (view spoiler)
Finished. And I just... holy shit. This was so damn good. I am so upset I waited so long to read it. I can’t even write a response right now. Lol.
I am still intimated in a way but this reads fast. I just somehow started the month with 6 brs in week and 2 are over 600 pigs and 2 others around 500 pigs do everything is slow until Monday when I am finally off
Take your time chickie! I’m here when you get further! This was so damn good and I’m upset I don’t have the second book to start! I ordered it last night. 😂😂

I will want to but honestly won't likely have time this month.
Jackie wrote: "The format description kinda intimidates me...."I can't decide what to think of it. It sort of helps the story move faster but I also feel like I am missing a lot which is also frustrating!
@Jackie I totally agree. I honestly didn't touch it for almost 5-6 days because YIKES. But I also agree with Jamie that it DOES go a lot faster with this format,
also i finished this today in one sitting (lol) and wrote down a couple of notes that ill write here

Are you reading this as an ebook? Cause the physcial book has the name and line next to it, then the next name. No weird page gaps.

I’m reading a kindle version. I changed what size the text is, and it’s a bit better now.

The year is 2575, and two rival megacorporations are at war over a planet that’s little more than an ice-covered speck at the edge of the universe. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it. With enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra—who are barely even talking to each other—are forced to fight their way onto an evacuating fleet, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit.
But their problems are just getting started. A deadly plague has broken out and is mutating, with terrifying results; the fleet's AI, which should be protecting them, may actually be their enemy; and nobody in charge will say what’s really going on. As Kady hacks into a tangled web of data to find the truth, it's clear only one person can help her bring it all to light: the ex-boyfriend she swore she'd never speak to again.
BRIEFING NOTE: Told through a fascinating dossier of hacked documents—including emails, schematics, military files, IMs, medical reports, interviews, and more—Illuminae is the first book in a heart-stopping, high-octane trilogy about lives interrupted, the price of truth, and the courage of everyday heroes.
