Hi, I tried to add a new edition, I ended up creating a book that's not linked to the other editions. Are you able to combine editions?

Tushmit, all fixed.

All new editions must be manually combined by a librarian. You did nothing wrong except create new editions. Next time just post here and a librarian will combine it for you.

And while we're on the topic of Salman Rushdie, the only two of his books that I had read before this one are actually related, but Goodreads doesn't list it as such.

That is an excellent question! I looked online and don't really see a name for the series. But maybe it can be called the Khalifa Brothers series? (Based on Haroun and Luka's surname...)

I've changed it to the Khalifa Brothers serie, as you suggested.

One other method usually used is to call the serie by the name of the world in which it is set. It might be interesting if the author plans on writting other books, with other characters, in this world.

I must admit that I am not very familiar with Salman Rushdie's works, and especially not these two books, so I'll go with whatever you (or anyone else) think is better.

Hmm, these books aren't *quite* set in the same world. You could argue that both worlds exist in the boys' imaginations. Haroun's world is his books come to life mixed in with characters from his dad's stories and Luka's world is his video games come to life mixed in with characters from his dad's stories. And they're both trying to deal with real life issues that they somehow deal with in their imaginary world. The common thread is the dad.
