I just finished this one for author with the same first and last initials.
I thought the point of view was interesting -- first person, past tense. I kept expecting the story to end with a "and this is why I'm telling you this story..." but it didn't.
I did like how Circe grappled with what it means to be mortal and immortal. (view spoiler)

I really loved the way the book wound through its exploration of mortal / immortal, moral / immoral, family, loyalty, heroism... because of the slow unwinding, it felt much more real - not like the immediate understanding of a fable, but the slow wisdom of a life lived and knowledge gained through experience. I thought her writing was beautiful.

Not every book needs to be action packed or fast paced. Some just need to tell a story and this was one of those. In my opinion, it told it beautifully.

I used this for prompt #25 - Something borrowed. After all, this entire story is primarily borrowed from Homer.
