Skyla,That needs to be brought to the attention of Goodreads staff. If an import has messed Rowling up this badly, they need to check to see if there was an issue with the entire import.
I posted in the Large Data Import thread that this source has gone rampant and pointed to this thread. The team working on "improving" the kcw import source somewhat monitor it for problems.Hopefully they will look at one of these two threads.
Ah, somehow I'm not surprised that this was kcw. I've flagged it several times for adding multiple dupes, changing covers, or having bad data. But doing a bad import of this magnitude is quite ridiculous. Thanks.

Actually, I would suggest separating first and changing the author second. It shouldn't be a big deal if you do it the other way, but occasionally separates with books with different primary authors don't work properly.

Hi all - found the source of this bug and will be pushing a fix later today. Thanks for your vigilance and work on this one. The bug had been there for awhile, but other site behavior had stopped it from manifesting as a problem until relatively recently.

Hi! I just noticed this... should we still try and separate/modify author or is someone in charge of fixing it? (once separate-combine is back of course)thanks!

The bug causing the bad imports has been fixed. But the remaining clump is probably best dealt with by individual librarians. Many of whom have been steadily chipping away at it already.

Except the record has no ISBN, so no need to NAB. Deletion pending.

I think you had missed one. There were a bunch, for sure.

What does one do with a book such as this, which has no author that I can find?https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

The secondary author seems to actually be at least one of the authors according to WorldCat.

Maybe that explains why the Harry Potter Boxset was coming up in search results for everything I was searching for.

Christina Paulette Colón is listed as second, and she has written many similar items, so I bumped her up to primary and removed Rowling.

Sophie, possible options @ www.goodreads.com/search?utf8=✓&q...+
I've spent the last few days cleaning this up. It looks pretty good now. Everything there is either legit Rowling or in a language I can't read.

I noticed as I was combining editions that there are hundreds of books that have somehow ended up with J.K. Rowling as the author and been combined in with this boxed set edition.
It's rather a huge job for one person to tackle alone, and probably needs some coordination, so thought it best to bring it up here. I searched and saw that a few have been caught, but it doesn't look like anyone has really pointed out the magnitude of this problem!
