The problem with deciding the correct figure is that by normal considerations the book ends at page 161, which is also the last numbered page. Then follows one blank page, info about the author on one page, ads for other books on the page following that, then three blank pages. THEN follows a page which contains simply information about the book's printer, information which is usually included in the colophon (which is at the book's beginning).
The argument could be made that 168 is also the correct count if we are to follow the guidelines slavishly, but if we look at it reasonably, I would say 161!
