I think it's easier to write novels. Short stories require that you get a lot accomplished in a shorter amount of time. It's easy to end up rushing the end.

I think that would be really neat. And easy to put down until you can read again (sometimes those books are great when you're really swamped and can only get a little bit of reading in. You don't have to worry about getting quite as lost).

Not exactly the same, but I love the Arabian Nights structure of a story within a story.
