Perfect timing! I just got this from the library.

Started today. Lot of recapping to start.

I started last night. The visit with Roman was rather amusing.

Listened to this all day and just finished. I liked this book just not as much as the previous entries. I read the previous 8 books solo so looking forward to hearing everyone’s thought on this.

(view spoiler)[I think knowing that the main issue in this book was Roland I knew that it wouldn’t be resolved so the end battle didn’t matter as much to me. Kate also got pretty whiny in this one. It seems like every time she did something she was so concerned with how others would perceive her. Was glad when she got her Aunt dagger and she kind of broke her out of it. Her marrying Curran didn’t really affect me in any way. He just hasn’t grown at all throughout the series. (hide spoiler)]

I've read the first 100 pages. So far so good. I've been reading this series for a long time, patiently looking forward to each book to be released. For me book 8 wasn't quite as good as the rest of the series. One, the changes took getting used to, two that book dwelt on Kate and Curran's feelings for each other so much it was overdone. And three, I thought there was a lot of filler in that book. After reading book 8 I was so ready for the final showdown between Kate and Roland, and I still feel that way. As much as I adore this series I wish this was the last book. Maybe I'll change my mind after I get to the end of this one and agree that there needs to be another book. So far this one doesn't seem to have the filler problem, and I'm enjoying it a lot, which makes me very happy.

I ended up liking this one better than book 8. I agree with you Bill about Kate. (view spoiler)[ She got a bit annoying at times. I also felt like the wedding wasn't really a big deal. They've been together for 2 years and it just seemed like they already were married all this time.

Things I liked were the Pegasi, Kate hanging from the swing while flying, Derek (because I always like him), Roman, the People joining forces with the pack, and Dali telling Jim how it was going to be when he decided his friendship was over with Kate and Curran.

I still feel that this book should have been the last book in the series. I think if the filler from book 8 had been eliminated it could have been done. (hide spoiler)].
