Leave your ideas here for which classic you'd like us to read together next month! Feel free to comment agreeing with other people's suggestions, as the poll at the end of June will only feature books that were mentioned more than once.

Here are my suggestions:
Persuasion (I'm still dying for some Jane Austen hahaha)
The Lady of the Camellias (tragic romance set in France, if you love Moulin Rouge you'll probably love this novel as much as I do)

Randa Mathias (randa_mathias) I'm oddly in the mood for some classic sci-fi, so maybe something by HG Wells? The Island of Doctor Moreau seems fun.

message 3: by Laetitia (new)

Laetitia Brunell | 32 comments Oh some genre classics is a good idea, I read the Island of Doctor Moreau years ago and remember enjoying it so would love to revisit.
I'll also throw in A brave new world, and a Handmaid's tale.
And The Lady of the Camellias looks great.

Mat | 4 comments I just thought about ‘Brave new World ‘ as well

message 5: by Bailey (new)

Bailey (feathertofly) I've really been into gothic classics lately so I think Dracula would be really fun

I'm feeling anything Jane Austen but I also want to read The Waves by Virginia Woolf (I've been studying her at school recently and now I'm really interested in reading one of her best works)

message 7: by Kimberley (new)

Kimberley Murphy (kimannemurphy) What about Emma by Jane Austen. Apparently thats supposed to be a really good classic

message 8: by Riana (new)

Riana | 3 comments I was thinking of some suggestions and thought it would be cool if we read a children's classic like Wind in the Willows or Alice in Wonderland :)

message 9: by Em (new)

Em (emroma) | 2 comments Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier was my first gothic lit novel and I loved it, so I'd suggest anything in that category!

Hannah (hannahbella) | 10 comments I’d be up for Brave New World as well!

I almost bought Rebecca yesterday, but I didn't. And now I'm kicking myself.

Deanna | 6 comments Persuasion is my favorite Jane Austen. Wuthering Heights is my favorite classic of all time! They are both great summer reads. I haven't revisited either in a long time.
