Authors Who Behave Badly

That IS an issue. Indie authors who act like this really create a bad reputation for self-published authors, when not all of them are horrible like that (I know of a couple that started out as indie and are awesome people as far as I can see). It makes it much more harder for those nice authors to actually sell their books, because everyone assumes that the author is a jerk and pass on buying it.

Well I've been in contact with a few indie authors for Read and Review programs and they're SUPER nice to me!

One of them is actually one of my closest friends on Goodreads and we've made plans to meet up if ever we happen to be in each other's area :)

Exactly! It's a shame there are some really nasty authors who give them a bad rep.

I heard about the Kiera Cass thing too, but I saw the reviewer's profile, and I was not impressed. She didn't seem like a very professional reviewer if you ask me.

I did see something on Blogger Lift the other day about how another reviewer had an author say that he would be sued for the negative review. Like freedom of speech... you can't really sue someone for a critical review unless defamation happens. But I've rarely heard of reviews that just slam a book to slam the author.
