From FB member Claire.
I wouldn’t recommend IT, still feels like it needs a good third edited out to make it a more enjoyable read.

Cannot recommend the Charlie Parker series of books by John Connolly enough!
They can be graphic but the characters are engaging and the plots have a supernatural undercurrent which I really enjoy. One of the very few authors that I preorder the hard cover for

Faithful John

I have the complete works of the Brothers Grimm thanks to my dearest love. With that said, they are good short stories so many I never read or heard of. I made a promise with myself that I will give each and everyone of them a review.

Faithful John I quite enjoyed. It is a messed up fairytale but which Brothers Grimm is not. I quite liked the devotion John had to the family but I found the ending to be dull and boring. To quick. So much did not make sense in the end. This is why I gave it a 3.

The country man is one hell of a fool and I say this cause he thought the dogs and frogs could talk when in this fairy tale, you can tell neither do. I know brothers Grimm are made for strange but this was just silly. I do like how it was all about deception and playing tricks though.

The Wonderful Musician deserves four stars as I thoroughly enjoyed it and really looked forward to his next companions. Of course, him tying up the animals and torturing them was not pleasant but I am guilty to say that I still quite enjoyed those parts of the story. Not quite t star quality but better than 3 star quality.

12 Brothers
I quite enjoyed this short story. It is not completely dark like the rest. In fact, it is kind of heart warming. It showed love, trust, and respect for family even though it was family who was going to kill the 12 brothers so the princess can have all the riches. It showed forgiveness and strength in family.

Pack of Ragamuffins by Jacob Grimm.

I have the whole collection of the Grimm Tales and many I never heard of but enjoyed.
That said, I found this short story to be quite dull. Boring. It did not satisfy me while reading and I did not care for how the story was laid out. Not at all. Perhaps that is why I never heard of it, because it is not even worth mentioning.
