Ok so I read this book in college- I am trying to remember as much as I can. It's about 2 art students ( 1 boy and 1 girl I think)- they have an odd brother sister but lover type relationship and they travel to Europe and murder several people and the chase leads to northern Euope in like Norway or something like that and they get caught. Any ideas??

The Postcard Killers?
A couple who go around killing other couples, arranging their corpses to resemble famous artworks (which would seem to point to an artistic background/interest of some sort...I guess..). The summary says the murderers struck in Rome, Paris, Copenhagen, and finally Stockholm. So that seems to fit the basic details you outlined.
