David | 3266 comments I have a feeling East of Eden will be back again soon. It is too big to try and fit in after Moby-Dick and finish before the holidays, but I have a hunch it might be nominated again sometime in 2019.

Thanks, Susan!...I have participated in the Big Read at Mystic Seaport, which was fun..

What a cool place for a Moby Dick reading, Lily. I was quite excited to visit both Mystic and New Bedford as side trips en route to Cape Cod a few years back, especially seeing Father Maples pulpit in the New Bedford chapel

It was one of those days/experiences I will always remember. All those people coming and going aboard the Charles W. Morgan. Leaving to find food. Picnic tables. Loving voices.

I can only recommend it, if at all interested and you have the chance to do it.

Thank you, Susan. This is a great find! I subscribed to the podcast.

Roger Burk | 1961 comments Let's include East of Eden in the next poll and see if interest is still there.

Maybe skip one cycle, since David is going to moderate the big fish, and I perceive he would be the moderator of choice for EoE? Two big ones back to back may not be "fair." (Have any druthers for something "lighter" or at least shorter in between?)
