This is an auto-bio of a young boy telling the life he was forced to leave and the one he had to enter into the concentration camps.

It has literally taken me all month to finish this small book. Everyone told me it would be rough one, as far as vivid, honest writing.

This book should be required reading in our High Schools. Most of the people who lived through WWII are gone or will be soon and those of us born to victims and veterans are entering our 60's and 70's. It is dis-heartening when I know our schools are not teaching history, at least not in the way that we learned it.

My daughter is 25. She is collecting a library for when she has a home. I have made it my mission to pick up books on WWII at book sales to add to her collection. We cannot let these young people forget.

About teaching history, I recommend The Untold Story of the United States on Netflix. Its done by Oliver Stone and the reason you mentioned above is the exact reason he made the series.
