The ending cheapened the value of the rest of the story. Picoult wrote a believable story that provokes thought on the subjects of disabilities and abortion and other hot-button issues.

I appreciated how real each of the characters felt. It did not feel forced or cheap; Picoult made believable (and relatable) characters.

The book moved slow in places and often got rather repetitive (if I hear “catch-22” again, I swear...). For a chunk of the book I felt like it was going in circles emotionally and in other ways.

Overall a good read. Not my favorite but certainly not bad at all.
