Don't know what I'm going to do in handling that scene. You know Moore didn't hold anything back.
This episode was more difficult than I expected. She did not fight the wolves, etc. but way deep on the emotional scene. Next week is going to kill us
I can't wIt for the DNS if next season for thus bitch to die. Oh And Jamie gets his own retribution next season in the dual.
I've got to finish Dragonfly in Amber...I'm about 1/2 way but got stalled out with other books. When does next season start?
They have not published an air date. We just have toWait. I have been through all the books so I don't think
Of it anymore.
I have to say the actor playing Randall does a great job...sure made me hate him! He is just disgusting.
And he is really good at even making his face look evil. When you see him out of that character he does not look as creepy. But last night he really managed to be evil creepy bad guy.
Oh yeah...definitely evil & sick! When he forced Jamie to kiss him (& touch him!), I thought I'd be sick. Imagine the disgust & horror for Jamie. This episode was so dark & emotional. But I can't say enough about what a great job they did with it.
I think I was holding my breath for most of the episode. When he picked up the nail, I yelled Oh No! Hubby said, there's more??? He said it even affected him...He is so totally hooked on this series.I read that too, Dawn. That the last episode will have it through Jamie's eyes...I will really be holding my breath.
I was tense the entire time and just couldn't look at that nail scene. Don't know what I'm going to do next Saturday.
Yea, the nail scene made me cringe. I looked away but there was still found. I was just reading a blog and the last episode isn't siring until May 30.
So no new episode this coming Saturday??
The thing about the nailing...Randall didn't just hit it once. He pounded it all the way down into his hand! Unbelievable. And I'll have to say - very realistic...it looked like it went in Sam's hand. The bloody scenes are extremely realistic also. Another disgusting scene for me was Randall licking & kissing Jamie's scars on his back...Man, he is sick.

I keep remembering the fan thing they did before the series started last year. They asked DG what she was most looking forward to and she looked poor Sam in the face and said "I can't wait to see you get raped." Here it is, THE episode the author has mist waited for.
Lol I know right? Out of everything in the book to choose. Of course, she created BJ in the first place right? Lol
DG posted a fairly lengthy post on Facebook today on this last episode. She explained why she made that long ago statement about wanting to see Sam raped and what we can and cannot expect from this episode. Someone said they wanted the cows and she replied that she wouldn't be disappointed. But there would not be the hot springs scene
I'm both looking forward to and dreading seeing this coming episode. It will probably be a tough one to watch but it's part of the book...I have to watch it.
I know. She said in order not to be disappointed we need to "Put. The. Book. Down." So I guess I will be as open minded as I can.
Oh yeah...me too. I try to watch the show as "just the show"...and not compare it too much. I'm usually so riveted to the screen that I don't think too much about comparisons until afterwards. haha
I watch it kind of like that but I do notice the differences while it is happening. I just refuse to let it color how I view the episode because I absolutely know there is no way they can get it all in. Next season will be worse since there are only 13 episodes for 39 hours of book lol
Only 13 episodes?? I hadn't heard that. Is there a start date yet? I'm trying to get back to the audio of Dragonfly...I'm about 1/2 way.
I'm trying to watch it on my iPad but the internet speed here is slow and affecting the download. 19 minutes left.
I am trying to convince myself I can watch it again. Maybe another day. This is the only episode I haven't watched multiple times. Maybe when it is released on DVD. I thought I was prepared for the visual version since I listen to the books. Nope, definitely grueling to watch. If Tobias and Sam do not get awards I will be furious. No wonder Sam had to decompress during the week of filming.
Watched with hubby. He said at the end of the episode, Well that was intense...I told him when I read the book, I had a mental picture but this was so much more intense. Wow! What a final episode! As much as I hate Black Jack, Tobias and of course, Sam were unbelievable! Can't imagine the kind of preparation it would take to do scenes like that.
Was so different watching the scenes then reading about it. It made it more real i was sick to my stomach watching it.

I'll have to watch it again as I kept having so many interruptions. Emmys should be waiting for both of them now.

Incredibly intense, intimate and realistic. I felt like I knew exactly what both were feeling at every juncture. I can't imagine the filming of these scenes.

I thought my imagination was vivid enough. Not. Even. Close.
