Yay!!
Went and looked at the Outlander FB page and there is a deleted scene from Ep 6 and there will be something posted the 4th of each month.
I didn't know Catriona was nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best TV Drama Actress category!!!
Me too! Thanks for sharing. I want to get back to Dragonfly in Amber also...I got waylaid with other books but I'm over 1/2 way through it.
He will forever be Jamie to me. Sam is gorgeous in RL but put him in Jamie's clothes & all - he becomes Jamie in every way. Awesome casting!
Sandra ~ ♥ Cross My Heart ♥ wrote: "But I will still say that I still don't consider Outlander Sci-Fi...guess that's just me."Me either, Sandra. Fantasy, maybe. But I would categorize it as Drama.
It's a lot of things to me but not Sci-Fi. Historical, Suspense, Romance, and yes, maybe a touch of Fantasy as I certainly fantasize over Jamie enough! haha
Time travel actually bothers me in some books...I just never quite believe it. But, needless to say, I don't even blink an eye at it in Outlander. It just is.
I normally don't care for time travel stories as they tend to create paradigms that give me brain cramps. Not this one.
Exactly...me too. It just works in Outlander. It's like I never question it, it's just something that happens.
I think the mystic of Ireland & the stones helps make it very believable. Just thinking again how great that scene was on TV.
Yes, it does help, Kris. My focus doesn't remain on the time travel at this point other than Claire's continued effort to get back to the stones & travel back early on.
I agree with everyone. Just like I don't see the series as a romance, I definitely do not see it as Sci-Fi. Historical Drama...regular drama...not sure but even GR does weird categorization on thus series. DG has repeatedly stated she is surprised how her books are categorized since she sees them as Historical Drama. In fact she seems to get mad when they are put out there as romance. I felt bad that non of the actors were nominated, but at least the show was. Maybe next year. I have a short series I read a long time ago that also seamlessly incorporates time travel, The Reluctant Time Traveler by Lynda Eymann. Just a couple books, but Zi enjoyed them a lot. Definitely in the fantasy/erotic/romance category. .
New, LONG, wonderful trailer! Stick with it because the beginning is familiar.

Yes. A little bit. I'm anxious to see more of this awesome book/series brought to life...see more of Jamie & Claire. But there's heartbreak ahead for sure and I know it'll kill me to sit & watch it. Have to wonder how detailed they'll get with everything. Jamie's beating in the first part was brutal & very realistically filmed.
That's about how I feel. They've not held anything back so far, which is both good and ominous:)
Oh, the second half has all of the nasty stuff in it. We haven't even gotten to the witch trial yet...shivers up my spine
Amazon just announced they are going to be selling Outlander on Blue Ray. I think it is the first half of season 1 for $39.99.
