I can't think of a much better way to spend a birthday. All curled up in my favorite recliner with a nice thick book, getting lost in whichever world the author wants you to be in.

Just my opinion, but I actually really enjoyed the series and the characters Scott pulled from history. For me it's kind of cross between the 39 clues books, and the Percy Jackson ones.
I'll leave it to you to share your own opinion.

I think it just wasn't for me because my expectations were a little too high. Obviously I haven't read the rest of the series yet and they might be better but I think I was just expecting it to be more about Nicholas Flamel and was let down when he wasn't the main character. Can definitely see why others would like it though.
Haven't read 39 clues but it's on my to-read list. Is it good? :)
