I actually don't like her either but I ended up loving this book. Maybe because I read Once Upon A Broken Heart first, so when I read this I found the background story and it was making this book interesting

No..... The entire main characters are different, except for the fates. That's why I think the fate things just should be in this series. There is one time Scar and Tella appeared and none for the rest of the book

Jacks was her friend this whole time? How did that even happen? He wants Legend's name, for what purpose? I'm so confused with all of these riddles and who's who. She needs to win this Caraval to meet Legend and tell her 'friend' who he is so that she can see Paloma their mother again? But now she needs another piece of information for him? She's got to convince the people at the party that they're in love and he'll tell her the second bit of info he needs. And then she needs to get him both Legend's name and whatever extra info he needs. But how was she meant to get Legend's name before winning the Caraval? It's confusing, and I HATE being confused in books.

Also going back to Caraval, with the Count being the performer Armando, how did their father not know it wasn't the right man? And why doesn't Tella want Scarlett thinking about the Count, if the Count isn't actually a bad person..

I've already sold two of my three gorgeous Caraval editions XD I can't handle these books so far. At the end of this series I can imagine I'll sell all of the books (hide spoiler)]

I'm intrigued by the nobleman in the first carriage and the mysterious friend and the cruel heir and who Legend might be. And I love the image of the magical castle with flying carriages throughout the city!
So far, the atmosphere is much like in the first book, I have no clue what's going on, it all seems really pretty, but somehow you can just guess that there is a very ugly downside to everything. I really enjoy this tension! (hide spoiler)]
