Set in the south. Young girl whose mother had an affair with a rich man, who owns the town they live in. His son hates the young girl’s mom and family because of the affair. The young girl grows up and moves back to the town. The son hates her and wants to get revenge but ends up seducing her. She is nothing like her mother: she is educated and respectable but the hero doesn’t buy it. They do business together for some reason in New Orleans.
