Why do so many authors nowadays feel the need to either have multiple people telling the story or jump from past to present? What ever happened to one person's perspective in a linear timeline? I am constantly having to go back to the beginning of chapters to see who is telling the story or is it past or present. So confusing.

Not just this book but so many others recently.
I agree.... I hate it when the story jumps all over the place!!!
