How to Add A Gif

Hiii so I think I'm doing something wrong but I'm not sure... I can see the gifs in the latest review I've done when I go view my review on the book's page. But when I view the review on my profile page all I see is
[ image ] (minus the spaces) where the gifs should be ... any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Or is that the way it is for everyone?
