I'm looking for some beta readers for an 80,000 word comedic fantasy (think along the lines of Terry Pratchett) novel entitled "The Last Wizard: Goldengreens vs. The Dreadmasters."
Betrayal. Deceit. Slaughter. Annihilation. A sword forgotten… in a brothel? Ahem, yes, well, if not for that slip of the mind the young wizard Firebane would have been caught in the attack that wiped out the rest of his kind. Feeling it is his duty to warn the king that the only line of defense between the kingdom and the evil Dreadmasters is now gone, Firebane soon finds his name changed, his quest elevated to the status of Mystic, and is ordered to seek out allies and artifacts to help defeat the evil forces.
Sounds simple, right? Unfortunately, the allies range from a kleptomaniac old magician to a clumsy ladies' man to the token female who just might be the only competent one in the group. Then there's the lich who combats the evil army by summoning a second one of invincible ghosts. But hey, at least he can serve as a mentor for Firebane, right? If only he didn't disappear just when he's needed the most…
