Humphrey Hawksley In recent years, the global threat has shifted, at least in political rhetoric, from extreme Islam and terror to a resurgent Russia and big power authoritarianism. Thriller writers like Adrian Magson and Max Karpov, are reflecting this. My latest Man on Ice is set right on the US-Russian border. One of the few other thrillers from there is Lionel Davidson's Kolymsky Heights. I would welcome a discussion on the Russia thriller versus the Islamic terror thriller. Any thoughts?
