Importing Products with XML on FTP

Hello,
I am trying to set up an integration with our systems, with your FTP. I am uploading XML's and image to you ftp, and they look fine, but i don't see them online, here at the site.
How do i check if my products are uploaded?
How do i get the errors, if my XML don't get imported?

I've bin talking to your support@goodreads.com, wich is no help at all. She reffers to this site, wich i think is a bit strange..
