Annalisa | 1573 comments My best read will likely be one I'm reading now 1Q84, but I haven't finished it yet so I'm not sure. Of the ones I've finished I would say I enjoyed Beneath the Sugar Sky and Red Sister most. I also really enjoyed Hello Stranger. So many choices.

I have a toss up for worst book. I think it was likely The Halloween Tree, mostly because I thought with it being Ray Bradbury it would be good. I didn't have as high of expectations for Thunder Dog: The True Story of a Blind Man, His Guide Dog, and the Triumph of Trust at Ground Zero. My biggest complaint with that book was that it was sensationalized.

Worst read(s):
No contest: Caged Wolf - sex with a guy who is about to shift into a werewolf and then does... ICK!!!
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts One and Two was very disappointing unfortunately.

Best read(s):
Red Sister, hands down. I just loved his writing!
I also really enjoyed Devil in Spring and Hello Stranger, and I'm really glad I finally read the amazing Ready Player One. The Inexplicable Logic of My Life was such a lovely read as well. And I'm enjoying the very twisted Triptych.

Yess, you guys really rocked those tasks and characters!!

We still have a few left to finish but really not all that much despite the fact that it seemed a little overwhelming at first. And that on top of reading for quidditch and for the maze!

You are awesome!!

If you feel like you need to have a task to be able to choose your next book (challenge illness, I think we all know it haha), you can grab the task with a couple dancing on the cover :-)

I haven't started that book yet and will finish another one first, so it's yours to grab if you want it.

LaurLa, I'll also read Everland before the end of the challenge in case you need another E.

My iron book ended with cliffhanger and I'm going crazy wanting to know what happened! But don't want to read it if it can't be used anywhere.
Do we need another iron book? *looks hopefully*

❀Tea❀ (ttea) | 9624 comments Best/worst read of tt?

I'm going to ignore quidditch books, but I think I was lucky and there weren't really that bad books I had to read. Even bad ones were bearable. There was only one from second match where I remember mentioning few chaser's family members :P

So worst book I've read Waiting For Nick. I actually like Nora Robert's books, but prefer her suspense over romance ones. Or maybe I should say I liked her books before she started recycling them. Now when I pick up one of them, I feel like I've already read it just with different character names. I still love her as JD Robb. You can't have too much Roarke :P

Best book... that's though one. I had couple of rereads so I guess they'd fall here as I wouldn't be rereading them if I didn't really like them. From new reads, I'll mention Why Kill the Innocent (I love that series!) and The California Dashwoods (interesting spin off of Jane Austen. I remember it had me grinning whole day after I've finished it). Maybe those weren't best reads, but I'd put them as 'happy I've read them'

It's a Bingo game over at the SoS Group. They use shelves for the calls each week (like Vampires, Urban Fantasy, Science Fiction, 1st in Series, etc) & the team who gets Bingo first wins. It's fun. Here is the sign-up link. There are also other links on How to Play & more info.

Cathy M. (mccathy77) | 5976 comments Favorites - Hands down The Others series by Anne Bishop!!!! I LOVED that series & hate that I waited so long to read them. Also really loved the Seven Realms series (though I hate that the end wasn't as resolved as I would've liked). Lastly, was really surprised how much I loved Prince of Fools.

Worst - A Court of Thorns and Roses & Tempest Rising

Annalisa | 1573 comments I should finish up Treasure today or tomorrow.

I'm looking for an audiobook that has a bottle on the cover that is short.

I'm working on my book with a teacher in it. It is a long one so it is taking a good bit of time.

Annalisa | 1573 comments I've found two short options for audiobooks with a bottle on the cover. I'd prefer to listen to The Sea Is My Brother The Lost Novel by Jack Kerouac but I'm not sure if this cover will work. If it doesn't I can listen to Thirst. However, this book doesn't seem to have the correct edition on Goodreads. Here is the link for the cover I would listen to: https://www.amazon.com/Thirst/dp/B009...
Let me know what you think.

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments I was typing a continuation of my question yesterday when I got called out. Sorry about that!

Let's pretend Kate Daniels isn't in the running but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked I Hunt Killers and The Astonishing Color of After. I was disappointed with The Tattooist of Auschwitz. I think it would make a great movie though.

Please let us know as soon as possible.

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) Soooo...the book I'm reading right now is going to be a trilogy. However, the trilogy is currently unnamed making it list on GR as Untitled #1. Do we think we can use this for U or am I being overly optimistic? I don't know that the series is officially unnamed, I'm just assuming right now.

Thoughts?

Hmm, I'm guessing that the "untitled" is currently just a stand-in for the future name of the series.
It's probably better not to use it for U - even though it's tempting!

Clock or watch?
Eurgh, with those ancient looking things I'm never sure haha. But it looks like it has a band to tie it around something, so a watch rather than a clock?!

They didn't get missed but I want to talk to LaurLa, who is a librarian about why the covers are different and if there's a possibility to insert the correct edition.

The broken bottle... I'm not so sure about, to be honest. A whole one would be better.

If it's a friend whose judgement you trust, better not to inflict that upon yourself ;-)

There are a few cozy mysteries that have bottles on the cover, or maybe a billionaire romance, so I'm pretty sure someone is going to manage to read something for that task :-)
