Eldarwen | 13645 comments Mod
You are! And we need those points! :-) Besides, LaurLa will love you if you fill up the letters she still needs to spell out the remaining characters.

Natasha | 1140 comments If no one has claimed HP #5 2.4 Read a book with "Trial" in the title, I would like it. I was going to read The Trial.

It's yours!

message 2206: by Natasha (new)

Natasha | 1140 comments Thanks! I've been wanting to read it again so this is perfect.

Eldarwen | 13645 comments Mod
I've never read that one. But then again, I only read one book by Kafka and never wanted to touch another ever again haha.

Maybe I should give this one a try though. It is one of his best works after all - or so they say.

message 2208: by Natasha (new)

Natasha | 1140 comments I love Kafka! I'm a huge fan of absurdism and existentialism.

message 2209: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13645 comments Mod
Hmm, both those genres usually don't inspire me but it is nice to read something different every now and then!

My clock book is promising to be a slow read...

Does anyone happen to have something for that task?

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments Whats with all the books we're reading these days haha. I hate the MC in my car book. I planned on sitting and reading it in one go last night but I couldn't.

message 2212: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13645 comments Mod
I pushed through the nekkid abs ;-) The writing was not good. At all. But hey, it got a task done and was a light distraction while tidying my desk at work.

(Always easy to tell when the boss is away and my co-worker as well haha. So much more reading time at work!!)

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments I plan on reading car book first then go on to Graveyard Queen right after.

How can you have more reading time at work! That's against normal i dunno life rules? haha

message 2214: by Em (new)

Em (emmolga) i do have The Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick by Peter Handke . should i read it?

message 2215: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13645 comments Mod
If you want to Em, yes please!

Then I can move on to something else instead :-)

Weeell, I used to have a lot of time at work because I wasn't working for as many people and my boss had periods where he was focused on stuff I couldn't help with, so I found myself with a lot of free time on my hands.

Not so much lately. Also, nosy and jealous co-worker doesn't help with letting me read peacefully if I have nothing else to do.

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments Drat these nosy coworkers haha!

Lol thank goodness for Em and Kavitha saving us from our books. Im reading my car book again and swearing at the MC. Now I am making notes and will probably write a 10-things I hate about the MC ;)

Cant believe we're wrapping up TT soon!

message 2218: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13645 comments Mod
That sounds like a good way to make the book a little more pleasant!

And yes, thank goodness we have nice teamies who don't mind saving us from the worst hehe.

I might go for chocolate or bottle on the cover tomorrow. But will decide once I'm awake.

Really need to go to bed now ;-)

Good night!

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments Good night E!!

Cathy M. (mccathy77) | 5976 comments I'm halfway thru the Gate task so should finish tonight or tomorrow depending on how much longer I'm able to stay up. Please pencil me in for the Spider & Club tasks next.

Do we have a Countdown timer for the end of the game yet?

message 2221: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13645 comments Mod
Sure thing!

And, no, not that I'm aware of. I don't think it's been released yet but I'll go hunting when I get back home.

I found a book for a couple dancing on the cover, so I'm going to read that one next.

message 2223: by Annalisa (new)

Annalisa | 1573 comments For the task "three" in the title does it need to be "three" or can it be "3"?

message 2224: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13645 comments Mod
That question was asked when Shannon was feeling generous in the early morning hehe, and she accepted both variations.

Personally, I still have a preference for the letters rather than the number as "three" is what is in the task and not "3", but both will work, so... :-)

Sorry....didn't see until now. Updated the books thread about the task for ED initials. cool :) Nice catch indeed.

message 2226: by Kavitha (new)

Kavitha Sivakumar | 179 comments Will see whether I could finish Animal Farm by George Orwell for white cover.

Audiobooks, ebooks are quite easy. Hard copy is kind of difficult :( All my "U" books are hard copies....

message 2227: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13645 comments Mod
Ah cool!

White cover with a little piggie :-)
Hmm, audiobooks do make life a little easier sometimes because you can still do other things while reading.

message 2228: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13645 comments Mod
Kathleen is reading for white cover, too, actually.

But really, we need the letters as well so even if one of your white covers doesn't go towards the task, it'll still be useful for that.

Or, Kavitha, if you haven't started it yet, maybe one of the other tasks?

message 2229: by Kavitha (new)

Kavitha Sivakumar | 179 comments I haven't started it. so no white cover for me. I will stick to key of knowledge now

message 2230: by Annalisa (new)

Annalisa | 1573 comments I tried to find a book with "Three" in the title but all of the audio books I was interested in were over 10 hours and I don't think I could finish them. I guess I'll be looking at other tasks and seeing what I can find.

message 2236: by Annalisa (new)

Annalisa | 1573 comments It is possible I will be able to cover "Three" in title but it will be a read book. I'll have to see how far I get in my other books today, and if I can get it from the library.

Kavitha, are you also still reading a book with "mirror" in the title?

You're still marked for it on the spreadsheet, though I accidentally seem to have deleted it from the list on the first page of the thread *headdesk* (I put it back now haha.)

Ok, so a countdown isn't up yet, but I assume we're going to get one soon.

I can't remember what time the challenge started, so not sure what time it will end, but some time on Friday most likely.
