: a serious and lasting attack ofsomething"
1 obsolete : a seat of distinction : throne
2 a : a military blockade of a city or fortified place to compel it to surrender
b : a persistent or serious attack (as of illness)
siege transitive verb
lay siege to
1 : to besiege militarily
2 : to pursue diligently or persistently
~MerriamWebster
Psy-Changeling won't work. The changelings can always get in and out, no matter how many individual attacks there have been or are. I've read the first 8 books only so far but I don't think that'll drastically change in book 9 (not with the way the villains have been operating so far), so that isn't exactly a siege since they aren't hindered in their normal activities, they aren't being cut off from anything either.
V, we'll use yours for many people living in the same house then, since that isn't something to appear in all that many books either.
It's an annoying task the siege one but it also makes things kind of interesting hehe.

Hey V, can you just check the page numbers for Red Hill, please? Completion post and shelved edition are different.
Thanks!
Oh, and while you're at it. Atticus has a very odd page number for the kindle edition, which is like 300 pages less than what the paperback is or what Amazon says. Could you please let us know what the actual number of your kindle edition is please? Then LaurLa can check this out and fix since she's a librarian :-)

And we're actually already half-way through the initial tasks we chose and have some extra books slotted in already, too.
Absolutely fantastic going, guys!! :-))

Using the app so *imagine i posted a funny gif*
Hahaha, nah, sorry, I've read all three Never Never books for Wobble and not really up for rereading. They weren't that good :-p

Maybe? Haven't participated in that one for years.

I really don't have any specific reason why I don't read NA haha. I don't go actively looking for one but am sure there must be good ones out there (unlike Never Never lol). But I had fun reading it with the time, you know suffering together and talking about it. And that ending!
Seriously though, do you want to go for the title relay? Or the YA square?
If so.. I'll see what I can scrounge up to help with those.

Bah, Never Never is YA, not NA. You could consider Hidden Legacy NA, for instance, and those were pretty awesome books!
But yes, that ending!! Ridiculous, though kind of funny haha.
Paranormal and urban fantasy are usually my go-to when I want romance. Nalini Singh <3 - do you read Guild Hunter as well? Can't remember?

YA square? Lol. I didn't pay attention to the YA. I thought it was just a book square. Hm, I think the YA square is easier than the title relay. We can work on the title relay first.
I haven't read the Guild Hunter series yet. Is it good?

Sascha gives birth. Finally lol
Never Never are at least incredibly fast books - coming from Miss Slow here :-p So you shouldn't have any trouble with them if they pop up for Quidditch. And they aren't all that bad, just not terrific hehe. Better than the free deals on the weirdo sex crap that's been read for previous matches.
Kathleen wrote: "Almost done with Kiss of Snow. Lots of task it can work for but I think it's better if we use it for #7~3.4: book where someone has a baby
Sascha gives birth. Finally lol"
Aaaah, cool!! I was expecting that to happen in book 9 haha. Definitely a good task to have out of the way, yes.

Yes!! Read it!!
Ignore the clichés, because there's quite a few of them. Then again, she uses some in Psy-Changeling as well.
The world setting is quite interesting, a little different and I love the characters. Illium, Venom, Naasir, etc etc :-)

I think Venom's was last one I've read. Sometimes I even wish she'd lay of 'romance' part. I just want to know what's happening in the world...

Agreed!! I love the world and the whole plot surrounding the various romances. Venom's was the last book currently out. New one will be out in autumn and the cover is absolutely gorgeous!!

I'll finish PsyChangeling first then start Guild Hunters. Does Guild Hunters feature a different couple each book too?

You sure you gonna be done with PsyChangeling? There is Trinity spin off now :)
Kathleen wrote: "Same feeling I get with PsyChangeling. The romance is nice but I'm more invested in the overall story now. Okay, so maybe not really because I'm looking forward to Kaleb's story. And Vasic's.

Mmhh, yes, I'm looking forward to Kaleb's story as well. He is a fascinating character. And the overall plot is great. I enjoy that a lot.
Yes, Guild Hunter features a different couple for most books as well, not all of them. And all the various characters you meet over the course of the series pop back in regularly as they're all integral to the overall plot.

If it's something more unusual or rare, yes please add them to the completion post. Otherwise, go with the sword / deadly weapon as we have a few of those. :-)

Let's see who this Illium is ;)

I parallel read for a while as well ;-) But I started with Guild Hunter before finally moving on to Psy-Changeling. But all this talk really makes me want to pick up Play of Passion! Must finish my current read first haha.

That is an impressive set of tasks it works for!!
Spoilers are much appreciated, thank you :-)

I've read two books with a siege recently, but of course finished before TWT started. A Feast for Crows and The Fate of the Tearling.
I'm having the opposite problem at the moment. I want to read all the books at the same time. ;-)
And then I'll never finish anything haha.
I'll see how far I'll get with Ride the Storm today and then maybe I'll pick up my Psy-Changeling tomorrow after all ;-)

Annalisa,
the number of pages you indicate in your completion post is different from the one of the edition you shelved. Can you check please and let me know which number is correct?
Thanks!

Task 4 - Department of Mysteries
Read a book MPG Mystery The Devil I Know
Read a book where someone dies The Heart's Invisible Furies
Read a book with a large battle Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience and Redemption
Read a book where there is a "rescue" To Kill a Mockingbird
Edit
Never mind...
I just went to the main page and saw all of these task were taken, but noting was listed on the spreadsheet.
Again... for TW if someone is assigned or taking a task, where should I look so I don't waste my time. Thanks

So i would say no to mine then E, although later on the army drops a bomb on the city to kill the infected
