Sorry I didn't really help with picking the books/tasks (too busy with BRs & finishing that Moon book)! I don't really have anything on standby, am still going thru my Kindle/lists trying to find my next read :/ I think I'm actually better at picking books based on the tasks so I'll look thru the open tasks on the 1st pg & see what I can find.
I'll start with:Book 1 Task 1.2 - Baseball bat on cover - Grand Slam
Book 7 Task 1.3 - "Seven" in series name - The Demon King - series "Seven Realms"
If we want to go with Task 5 for Book 7, I did see an audiobook with Snake on cover. 2 of the tasks can be done by Natasha, Kathleen or Em, which would leave "Read a book multiple people die" which I think is one of the easiest!

Sure, can start that after Demon King.
Started Ruin and Rising, I think it could work for #7 (4.3 or 5.4). I'll know as I read on. *sigh* If I didn't have the complete set, I wouldn't bother finishing this series. Alina doesn't do anything for me. I'm so glad I read the Six of Crows first or else I would never have bothered reading it if I read the Grishaverse trilogy first.

May I ask that when you post your completions for tasks to NOT add letters for spell-outs to the post - maybe you wouldn't anyway, but I just wanted request it. When I go looking for character letters, it's easier for me to skip over ineligible books if there is no list of letters...Also, may I ask that you be on the look-out for books that work for U (as always). I've placed all we have so far and still we need 12 more.
The other vowel letters, as well, but they are usually easier to come by than those pesky Us.
There is only one Q and X and we're covered there. No Z :-)

I'm not sure how we are tracking who is reading books for the TW?It looks like we are concentrating on the first 3, but I cam be reading other task as those are bing completed.
Could the spreadsheet be completed to show who is assigned.

For the scary cover, I'd go for the first of your suggestions. But can you hold off on that one just for a second please?
I think Kathleen wanted to use I Hunt Killers for that one, but I actually prefer yours.

Under siege implies a longer time and, you know, an actual siege.

The maze needs a contemporary genre with odd number of pages.

Kathleen I saw you finished Rosemary and Rue. What did you think? I'm through chapter 5 and it is a slow read for me. Nothing like we Wayward Children series which I loved. I'm really hoping I can finish it before book of the month points for it end.

I felt like she crammed everything she could think of in this first book thus I couldn't really connect to what was happening. And the world building was a bit spotty. There were a lot of convenient solutions and I didn't really like Toby. I'm still considering reading the next book though. I didn't really love first Kate Daniels book. I trusted a friend who said it gets better so maybe this one does too?

No, a specific time is not really required as this part of the challenge runs until 31st August.
But as fast as possible would be good or reading the book within a similar time frame as the rest of these first tasks are done since the first 36 books need to all be completed before we can move on to bonus tasks.
(I'm rambling, I know. If it's unclear, give a shout. :-))
