I'll try to keep track on the first page of the thread and then we can see which tasks would work best for the team as a whole.
That book would work for the number task. The pictures started loading and I couldn't read it anymore so I'm not sure which it was. Maybe the last book.
Books 4, 5and 6 seem to have easier tasks

Yep, book 7 has a task with a "number in title".
I'm going to have to do this on my computer. I looked at the tasks on the spreadsheet, as that loads better on my phone. I don't see anything that immediately jumped out as fitting. I just started an audiobook that would work, but I already started it, The Devil In the White City.

No. The first 9 tasks we're choosing do not have to be read in order.
They will have to be finished though before we can move on to any bonus tasks we'd like to complete for extra points.

Within a book (1-7) you have to complete 9 tasks to get credit for it. At least that is what I understood, I could be wrong.

To make things easier for us, we're going through the tasks/book requirements to see which ones we will be able to read for more easily and choose our HP books that way.

After a bit of digging (I was sure I read something about this somewhere but couldn't remember where), I am happy to tell you that you can actually use this book for the Tri-Wizard tasks :-)
Books started before the tournament but not finished until August can count, since that wouldn't make it a banked book, and because this is an ongoing challenge.
If that is the case then I can cover "Devil" in title. I'll make it look pretty and have a link when I'm home and have more functionality. I'm sure I'll find more things I have that will fit other places as well.

No need to make it all very fancy, you know, but a proper screen and tabs will do wonders when weeding through a bunch of tasks to see which ones will fit :-)
Don't worry it won't be to fancy. I'll aim for good enough. 😜But to find other books and where they fit the computer with tabs and to side by side pages makes it so much easier. I know my other library books will fit. I'm pretty sure I have a white cover but I'll have to check. I'm going to be reading a lot of mind candy after I finish these last few fantasy reads. I need to start Rosemary and Rue for BOM. Hoping I can finish quickly. Has anyone here read it? Did they like it? I am hesitant because of the Urban Fantasy tag.

I'm bringing up the Malazan discussion again hehe.
LaurLa discussed this briefly and she figures that the ebook edition, while that is the ISBN used by Scribd, is probably not the best way to go as the ISBN number is used by various retailers with sometimes somewhat important discrepancies in page numbers (she found another one that was 700-something pages vs the previously linked 500-odd pages).
She suggests going with the current Kindle edition since that is sold only one place and at any given time has only one edition being sold and thus only one page count (even if that page count sometimes changes over time). But the generic 'ebook' is sold at different retailers with different page counts. Since Scribd isn't really a retailer, we don't know where or from whom they acquired their ebook version so can't say with any validity that it's correct.

Relax tag: Mods will accept a combined 10 tags for "relax" and "calm" if neither "relax" nor "calm" have 10 tags each. So if you find a book that is tagged 6 times as "relax" and 4 times as "calm", it will be acceptable. Plus, variations on the words are acceptable within the limits of common sense.

As long as you didn't finish them before TWT starts, yes. Basically, read date needs to be August for them to count for TWT.
We aren't allowed to use banked books, which is why all the previously finished and unused books will go towards the Character spell-outs.

Some of us haven't mentioned tasks yet that they can do but this might help some of you narrow down the tasks you're going to look for.
Book #1 and Book #3 will be our choices it seems since we already have a lot of people for a lot of those tasks.
I'd suggest going for Book #4 as well since we already have a fair number of book options for 2 tasks within that book.
We can leave the others for once we're done with our first 9 tasks.

Or go for book #4 already if you want, it looks like that will be our third choice, and I know you really want to go for those dragons hehe.
