Nik Krasno | 16085 comments Don't know whether it's true, but there are media reports circulating these days about John Kerry working hard to save Iran deal. Just an example:
I remember how some people slammed Trump for speaking with foreign leaders and promising change before he was sworn into the office. Wonder how Kerry's attempt, if there is one, would be viewed.
Reading about him on Wikipedia, he seems to be a very wealthy man, judging by his purchase of a 12 mln USD worth home , so I guess he might be spending his savings while engaged in private foreign policy. Noble of him.
Not that I have anything against him or his acting, just wanted to hear what people think.
And I guess it's a good opportunity to congratulate Pompeo for getting the nomination. Maybe Kerry just wanted to help a little until Mike got Senate's confirmation? -:)

Philip (phenweb) | 3079 comments Kerry seemed to be one of the better US SoS incumbants. Like many ex-leaders they need something to do. Even Jimmy Carter is still pretty active in his 90s.

Ian Miller | 11801 comments Whether Kerry could achieve anything in that area is another matter. Activity and effectiveness re not the same, and I suspect Trump would quickly cancel the effects of any good work. :-(
