((I dont what did I do?))

Nita petted the rat in her lap. "Nice to meet you." She told her.

The Full Bookshelf Reviews ((I thought you were quoting the first book when Harry meets Ron on the train, since you're a Gryffindor first year with a rat.))

"You, too," Scarlett said, still eying the rat. "He's kind of cute, now that I know he's a pet."

message 253: by [deleted user] (new)

((Oh haha. I kinda did!))

"Yeah." Nita said. She placed Mr. G back on the table, but kept a hand on him, so he didnt run off. "I'm allergic to cats, so I got a rat. I also heard birds make allergies worse, so ya know..."

((That is true))

The Full Bookshelf Reviews ((What's true? The birds thing, the cat thing, or both?))

"Uh oh," Scarlett said, trying to scrape the black cat hairs from her Kneazle/Persian cat, Storm, off her metallic Slytherin tie. The last thing she needed was to cause an allergic reaction. Then she paused, afraid she was drawing attention to what house she was in, something she wasn't exactly proud of.

message 255: by [deleted user] (new)

Nita smiled. "Dont worry, Im fine." She said, noticing how she was picking off animal hairs.

((Both!))

The Full Bookshelf Reviews ((Huh, I thought for sure you probably actually had a cat, considering your profile pic. Interesting. Although you might be a Warrior cat fan, too.))

Scarlett smiled in relief. "Sorry. I have a cat named Storm and love him more than anything. Lately, he's taken a liking to sleeping on my school clothes while I'm in my pajamas."

((My dog actually sleeps in the clothes basket, if we're throwing small facts in about ourselves.))

message 257: by [deleted user] (new)

((Haha. I am a warrior cat fan. My picture is Mapledream. My other character Jazzy is a younger version of myself with a different name))

"Aww that's so.. I dont really know. I want to say cute, but I cant. I made Mr. G a cardboard bed. He sleeps in that." Nita said. She smiled at the rat.

((I do have two cats and a dog. We didnt know I was allergic for a while))

The Full Bookshelf Reviews ((Ah, so it came from a Warrior name. Sorry, it's been forever since I read those. I found other fandoms and kind of forgot how popular they were. I remember fangirling over the Tigerstar and Sasha graphic novels, though. I went on a big graphic novel kick for a while.))

"I'm guessing he isn't picky, since he's so small and can fit pretty much anywhere. Have you ever lost him?" she asked, looking at the tiny, energetic animal.

((Yeah, I've had my dog for almost eight years, (her birthday is September 1) and we've had a few small animals (betta fish, goldfish, mystery snails, hamsters) in that time, but it was kind of a decided one pet limit since we never had much luck.))

message 259: by [deleted user] (new)

"Quite a few," nita said, laughing a bit. She remember the time she had lost him in here before. "Once he hid in a bookshelf, eating the books." She laughed.

((Yeah. I absolutely love the warriors! I finished the book a few months ago. Mapledream is my own character. She is also me, but the more lost, confused side. Not the super jumpy side like Bluespark))

The Full Bookshelf Reviews "You sure it was your rat?" she joked. "Again, old, dusty Hogwarts library." She leaned closer. "Speaking of books, I have to tell you a secret. My mum wouldn't be very happy nor would the other Slyth-" She stopped. Yup, the cat was out of the bag.

((Haha, pun intended.));

message 261: by [deleted user] (new)

((XD I actually get it. I have an odd sense of humor))

"Oh, you're Slytherin? I thought you were Hufflepuff." Nita said. "Im Gryfindor if you didnt notice. Ok, what's the secret. I love secrets."

The Full Bookshelf Reviews ((Me, too. I think everything's funny. I actually laugh seeing other people laugh. So, as you can imagine, those outtakes from the Order of the Phoenix where Rupert starts laughing at random intervals gets me every time.))

Scarlett reached into her bag and retrieved several books. Muggle books. Three had cats on the covers. Two featured pictures of dolls. One was blue, featuring two clouds, one black, one white. A girl on a swingset. A red pushpin. "Muggle books. I got them from a Muggleborn girl from Hufflepuff named Margo Mason. And I want to share them with somebody. Keep them hidden, though. I would be in big trouble, not to mention probably getting beaten up by the end of the day by an anti-Muggle Slytherin. I'm not like that, though. In fact, I don't think I belong on Slytherin at all. If I were a little bit more brave, I would probably be Gryffindor."

((Can you guess the books she gave her? ;) They're all real YA books.))

message 263: by [deleted user] (new)

((Most of them. I have never read Paper Towns, but I knew that one.))

Nita smiled. "Thanks. I've read a few of these before I think." She said. She looked at them then hid them in her bag. "Your secret is safe with me."

The Full Bookshelf Reviews Scarlett smiled. This girl didn't care if she was a Slytherin, or that she was afraid of her pet rat (momentarily, anyway). She also didn't care that she had been carrying around Muggle books for the past week. She could probably even tell her that the black and blue one made her cry and she wouldn't judge.

((Hint. ;) ))

message 265: by [deleted user] (new)

((Ooooohhhhhh TFIOS))

Nita smiled at Scarlett. She seemed really nice. "Wait, what year are you in?" She asked. "Im a first year by the way."

The Full Bookshelf Reviews "Fourth," she said. "But I look a bit younger. My mum says she did, too. And I look like her."

message 267: by [deleted user] (new)

Nita nodded. "Okay. " she said happily.

The Full Bookshelf Reviews "I think that's what happened with The Sorting Hat. Since I look like my mother, it assumed that I would be like her, and sorted me into Slytherin. I'm not though. I actually like Muggles. And Gryffindors. I'm not the average Slytherin," she said.

message 269: by [deleted user] (new)

"The sorting hat doesnt mess up though. I cant believe you've been in Slytherin for four years, but still hate it." Nita observed.

The Full Bookshelf Reviews "I can't believe that you're being so friendly! There's this girl from your house, Molly Weasley, and Nelth Corra, they have this big rivalry. Rumor has it that Nelth wanted Molly to hex her and all she could do was cast the Bublio jinx on her." Scarlett smiled. It was sort of funny.

message 271: by [deleted user] (new)

"Drama drama drama." Nita said. "There's no point in it."

The Full Bookshelf Reviews "No, I guess not. It's kind of amusing, though. Especially when you don't have anything to do, any friends to talk to and stuff." She traced little circles on the ground. She watched Nita's rat. He reminded her of Molly's little sister, Lucy; always moving.

message 273: by [deleted user] (new)

"Do you not have friends?" Nita asked.

The Full Bookshelf Reviews "Not many," she said. "Unless you count Storm, and Margo, and another Hufflepuff named Meggie, but we just talked once." She shrugged. "Whatever. I won't need anyone when I leave for my job after graduation."

message 275: by [deleted user] (new)

"Friends are nice." Nita said.

The Full Bookshelf Reviews "Yeah," she said. "It feels so good to have someone care about you."

message 277: by [deleted user] (new)

Nita nodded. "I dont have many either"

The Full Bookshelf Reviews She pointed at Mr. G. "Well, at least you have him."

message 279: by [deleted user] (new)

"Yeah. He's the best. I've also got Kinsey I guess." She said.

The Full Bookshelf Reviews "Who's that?" Scarlett asked.

message 281: by [deleted user] (new)

"Just another Slytherin girl I met. I think youd like her." Nita said.

The Full Bookshelf Reviews "Really?" Scarlett asked. "Do you, uh, talk to Slytherins often?"

message 283: by [deleted user] (new)

"I really talk to whoever." Nita said. She smiled. "Most the Slytherins Ive met dont seem like your stereotype slytherin though."

The Full Bookshelf Reviews "Some are, though." She sighed at the thought of them, rolling her eyes. "That's part of the reason why I'm not very proud."

message 285: by [deleted user] (new)

"there is always someone thats the odd banana." Nita said. "Wow, I sound like a ravenclaw"

The Full Bookshelf Reviews Scarlett grinned. "Odd banana? Where did you get that one from?" She liked how intellectual Nita seemed.

The Full Bookshelf Reviews ((And Scarlett and Nita are here.))

message 288: by [deleted user] (new)

Nita shruggd. "Dunno. I pick up things from all over. I feel like I should be ravenclaw sometimes."

The Full Bookshelf Reviews "How can you not be happy to be a Gryffindor? Harry Potter was in your house!" Scarlett said. Scarlett hated to admit it, but she frequently looked for Harry and his friends' children in the halls, surprised that they lived normal lives at Hogwarts, like they weren't the children of legends. She was even sometimes surprised by their Herbology teacher, Neville Longbottom, who had killed Lord Voldemort's snake, Nagini.

message 290: by [deleted user] (new)

Nita shugged. "I love Griffiondor, but whenever I say something smart I feel like I shouldn't be in my house."

The Full Bookshelf Reviews "Hermione Granger was very smart, and she was a Gryffindor," she pointed out.

The Full Bookshelf Reviews ((I posted on the Secret Passageways, by the way.))

message 293: by [deleted user] (new)

Nita smiled. "Glad Im not alone then!" She exclaimed with a laugh.

The Full Bookshelf Reviews Scarlett smiled. "Don't go bragging about your intelligence too much, now." She continued to swatch the rat, still appearing to be trying to free himself.

message 295: by [deleted user] (new)

Nita laughed "I wont." She assured. She let Mr G run around the table.

The Full Bookshelf Reviews "That doesn't usually work well with people. Like some people I know. They're old fashioned Pureblood Slytherins. Stereotypes. Still think they're superior to everyone else." She sighed.

message 297: by [deleted user] (new)

Nita shook her head. "Stupid stereotypes."

The Full Bookshelf Reviews "Careful!" Scarlett said. "Some of them are my family."

message 299: by [deleted user] (new)

Nita just stayed quiet. She seemed to be saying all the wrong things.

The Full Bookshelf Reviews Scarlett sighed. "It's fine, though. I don't really care. I don't like talking about them anyway." She looked around. Her mood wasn't lifted much by an empty library. "You want to go to Hogsmeade later?"
