Hey ya'll, I just spent a little time adding to the group's bookshelf.

Mostly, have been focused on Khokarsan civilization, Farmer's work on it and how it creeps up in Burroughs and Haggard. These are on the shelf "khokarsan-civilization."

have also added shelves for "foundational-texts" and "important-scholarship" but these are pretty bare.

What additions need to be made? What other shelves should we be working on?

Additionally, I see there's this feature where we can be reading a book together or whatever. Would that be a thing to promote/pursue in the future?

Ted (tedeg) | 6 comments Win's 'Crossover' timeline books would seem to have a place on these shelves.

Also, of course, Farmer's other WNU fiction, especially 'Escape From Loki', 'Peerless Peer' (Doesn't this one have a Khokarsan connection?), and 'Other Log of Phieas Fogg'. This last might also inspire an 'Eridaneans-and-Capelleans' tag, although I'm not sure what else would go onto it besides Josh Reynold's continuations.

Win Scott Eckert (win_scott_eckert) | 37 comments Will and Ted - what do you think of adding the first book of key Wold Newton Family members' series, with a tag such as "first appearance." Adding every book in the series might overwhelm the bookshelf and make it not useful. For example: Tarzan of the Apes; The Man of Bronze (Doc Savage); Casino Royale (James Bond); etc.

Do you think it would be appropriate to add other fictional biographies, such as Hornblower, Miss Marple, Bond, Biggles, etc.?

Both sound good to me.

Ted (tedeg) | 6 comments Same here - I was going to suggest Baring-Gould myself.

I'm so late even looking at the posts in this group, but had to chime in that I think adding the first book of pertinent characters' appearances is a great idea.
