Jane and Dean Gabriel slept with each other. Did you see that coming? What about them has the potential to work? To not work?

It didn't surprise me. They could work as Dean would be a leveller for Jane so long as Jane doesn't push him away. Distance may be an issue as well?

I really didn’t see it coming until it happened:) That’s probably because I found her so unpleasant in the first book and wasn’t imagining her being attractive or attracted to anybody.

You used the perfect word...leveler. He’s a potential reality check for her with a calming influence. She’s smart with great instincts and her rashness is what normally gets her into trouble. I see it working and can’t think of a downside other than long distance.

I did see that coming once he was more involved in the case. It will be interesting to see they can make it work since he doesn’t live there but I think it might help Jane not work all the time.
