I can understand why she is trying to prove herself all the time! The brother is a spoilt brat and I am really hoping that he gets his comeuppance soon!

I place the blame squarely at the feet of her mother who clearly favors her boys. Part of it may be cultural but I saw the same thing play out in my own extended family where my male cousins got away with murder and my aunts made my female cousins cater to them. Ugh. It leaves scars and explained so much about Jane’s behavior. I felt sorry for her.
