Hello, i'm looking for this book:

the protagonist is a kind of narcicist, he is an aristocrat or a bourgeois who belives he is better than others, because he's smart and rich, anyway in some part of the plot he doesn't like that other people read the same stuff he does, in orden to change that, he modified his books and covered with diamons and stuff like that, he even modified his favorite book, which i belive is Le fleur du mal (but i'm not sure) to look like the pope's bible, inside his vast library hi had various authors of his time, like Mallarmé.
