Isis | 5021 comments Sounds perfect to me.

message 52: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Okay. Two guys or two girls for the Tarzan one and then we can make characters?

message 53: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Hmmmm two guys?

message 54: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Okay. Sounds good to me. Which role do you want?

message 55: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Tarzan I guess?

message 56: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Okay
Would you like the guy or girl for the other one then?

message 57: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments I'm fine with either one

message 58: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Okay. Could I be the guy then?

message 59: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Sure!

message 60: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Okay! Simple or detailed character sheets?

message 61: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Somewhere in between, but I guess more on the simple side. The apocalypse characters probably need at least a little background.

message 62: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Okay.
Any particular age range?

message 63: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Younger adults I would say

message 64: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Alright. I’ll start working on mine and should hopefully get them up tonight

message 65: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Same, though I'm feeling pretty sleepy so I can't 100% promise

message 66: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) That’s alright. I’m getting sleepy too so we’ll see.

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Fairy Tale

Name: Derek Castellanos
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Appearance: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/dd/68/...
Job: veterinary resident
Traits: kind, caring, social, curious

~~~~~
Apocalypse
Name: Nick Kinnon
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Appearance: https://i.pinimg.com/736x/81/86/7f/81...
Traits: Guarded, protective, quiet
Background: As the apocalypse started a few years back, Nick was just trying to finish up high school. He was the only child of a single mom who worked as a doctor, mainly doing research. He played all sorts of high school sports and could’ve gone on to college if the apocalypse hadn’t gotten in the way.
As soon as the virus or whatever that was causing the dead to reanimate began to show, Nick’s mom was immediately curious and wanted to learn about it and cure it if she could. It was far away though. So she left Nick home so he could finish school and went off to start working. He finished school but She hadn’t returned by the time the virus began getting closer and closer to home to the point where safe places were being set up in the big cities, walling them off from the rest of the world in hopes of staying safe. Once the zombies began showing up in Nick’s hometown, he chose he couldn’t stay any longer. He had to try and find his mom or get into one of the safe cities so he packed up some stuff and left. (I don’t know if this is any good or not, just thought it might be a good background. We can adjust it if you had a different idea on timing or whatnot)
I’ll adjust the ages or whatever else i need to for it to be similar to yours.
Isis | 5021 comments Fairy Tale
Name: Tarzan
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Traits: Curious, gentle, protective
~~~

Apocalypse

Name: Anya Russo
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Traits: Strong, stubborn, opinionated, brave
Background: Anya was living on her own far before the apocalypse hit. She had actually been homeless when the zombies first started making it into her city. It was almost fortunate, considering she had already had experience in scrounging for food and protecting herself.
Her parents disappeared when she was twelve, leaving her to care for her little brother. Her parents had always been deeply into drugs and it wasn't that surprising when they stopped coming home, but she was still too young to care for herself and her brother. They were separated but managed to stay in the same general area for many years. When the zombies started showing up Anya was already 18 and had lost her place in her group home. Her brother was only 14 and had been taken with his foster family to a "safe zone" across the country. Anya is determined to find him.

((I think their ages are fine!))

message 69: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Okay! I really like your characters. :)

message 70: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Thanks! I like yours too :) Do you want to start us off?

message 71: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) :)
Yeah. I can do that. Where should we start and how long do you typically prefer for a post?

message 72: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Hmmm, your choice where to start. I prefer at least a paragraph but I'll match anything

message 73: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Okay. I’ll start in a few. Gotta finish a bit of homework.

message 74: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Quick question, do you have any idea on how the Tarzan one should start? I'm not sure quite what to write for it.

message 75: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Hmmm, maybe just with your guy arriving to the island?

message 76: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Okay! I should have it up within the next half an hour at the most.

message 77: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Ok sounds good. I'm working on some homework myself so no worries.

message 78: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Derek looked around as the boat neared the island. He’d been invited to travel with another biologist to conduct some research on the various life on the island due to his useful knowledge of animals. He glanced at the people he was traveling with, not knowing any of them very well since they’d met just at the start of the trip. The boat finally stopped at the small dock that had been built by the first people who were there to do research and were still there. Derek and the others were going to be joining them and working together. He got off the boat and helped unload all their stuff to the camp near the shore. Once that was done, he went to explore a bit of the area nearby.

~~~
Nick sighed and took a breath as he drove into the next town he’d marked in the map sitting beside him. He had an old beat up Jeep that was still running and had a decent mile per gallon range. He was able to find a little bit of gas in most every town so he was able to get pretty far at least. The car also helped because he could keep his supplies in it and sleep in it and just have a bit of a protected space with him at all times.
He found a place near the center of town to park his car where it was somewhat hidden so it should stay safe while he did a bit of exploring and searching for supplies. He killed the engine and got out, shutting the door quietly behind him. He looked around and started walking.
message 79: by Isis (new)
Isis | 5021 comments Tarzan had been watching the people on the beach for a few weeks now. When they had first arrived he considered trying to scare them off, but that seemed too dangerous for his family. For now, he just wanted to make sure that these strange creatures on the beach didn't make it anywhere near the gorillas that had raised him. What concerned him though, was that these creatures on the beach looked kind of like himself. They walked upright though, which was strange, and their language was complicated. He had managed to learn a little of it, but most of it still remained a mystery.
~
Anya set her sights on the man that had gotten out of his Jeep. The sound of it had alerted her and now she just needed to make sure it hadn't alerted any of the zombies in the area. Thus far this little town didn't seem to have many zombies wandering about, probably because there hadn't been many people here in the first place.
She had been there for almost a week after having twisted her ankle. It was healed now and she was planning to head out when she heard the Jeep. It had been weeks since she had seen another living person, so she decided to investigate. Maybe she'd even share some of her stockpile of food if this person needed it, considering she had found quite a lot in one of the houses in this town. Fortunately, it didn't appear that the Jeep had altered any zombies, so she slowly moved along, following the boy.
message 80: by Fallen (new)
Fallen (fallencatalyst) Derek rolled his eyes as one of the other guys called out after him, wanting to make sure he had certain stuff with him. He glanced at them. “I’ve got all that. I’m not gonna disappear, I just want to explore a bit.” He called back to them before walking towards the tree line. He looked around curiously, smiling a bit and just listening to the noise of all the insects and animals around him. He was always curious so getting to go to to this isolated island seemed pretty amazing to him. Derek stayed alert and a bit cautious though since they didn’t know exactly what was out there. He didn’t hear Tarzan though or know that he was heading right towards him.
~~~~

Nick looked around the town, glancing at the various buildings and homes that were close to what seemed to be the Main Street. He’d learned that most stores and places like that had been ransacked early on so he looked for the more isolated buildings that looked like they might not have anything. He started walking quietly, not sure how many zombies there were but he didn’t want to alert any of them to his presence. He headed towards a house but glanced back when he thought he heard someone following behind him.

message 81: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Tarzan watched from the trees as one of these creatures wandered off into the jungle beneath him. He followed along silently from above for a while before the curiosity got the better of him. He dropped down from the trees a few feet behind the creature and waited to see how it would react. He had no concept of weapons of course, so that never crossed his mind. He just wanted to see if it made noise or charged him.

~~~
Anya quickly hid behind a dumpster when the boy turned to look in her direction. Fortunately, it didn't seem that he had noticed her yet and he also wasn't heading in the direction of her hideout. She knew that the house he was about to go into was just full of dead zombies, and stunk to the high heavens.
She waited until he was almost at the doorstep before she stepped from behind the dumpster, deciding to spare him the stench. "You probably don't want to go in there. You're not going to find anything but corpses. If you're looking for food I can help you out," she said, just loud enough that he might here, but definitely no where near a shout.
message 82: by Fallen (new)
Fallen (fallencatalyst) Derek looked up as he heard something above him. He tilted his head slightly and stopped walking for a minute so he could look around without wandering into anything. He heard something behind him and turned around, raising an eyebrow as he was someone standing there. They didn’t look like a normal human but curiosity won out over caution. “Well, hello there.” He greeted, looking over the person. “I’m Derek. And you are?” He introduced, just trying to be polite to this unkempt stranger.
~~~

Nick looked around quietly as he walked. The quiet was somewhat nice, allowing for more small noises to be heard. But it was more unsettling than anything when some places used to always be full of noise and now they’re just eerily silent. He jumped slightly at the clear voice behind him. Nick turned, reaching for his firearm out of habit.

He looked over the girl and nodded at her words. He glanced back at the building for a moment before looking back to her and walking over. “Just was gonna look for some resources. Not necessarily food, I’ve got a slight stockpile currently.” He shrugged and wondered how long she’d been watching him. Nick kept his hand resting lightly on the firearm just in case she chose to try and attack him.

message 83: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Tarzan had no idea what this creature was saying to him, so he simply stared at him in confusion. He could tell by the body language that the creature was not being threatening, and really was not even concerned. Thus he took a step closer, standing upright but definitely not with the same gate as this creature before. His movements were, of course, rather ape-like.

He tilted his head to the side as he examined the creature. There was something about him that Tarzan almost liked but he wasn't able to describe that feeling. The creature just had a pleasant look about him.

~~~
Anya nodded in understanding, her hand on her own firearm in case he decided to pull any stunts. "What kind of resources are you searching for? I might be able to help. I've been here for about a week resting up and I know where all the good stuff is hidden. There are a few zombies that I've seen wander in, but not many. One of those perks of small towns, I guess." She paused for a moment. "Oh, what's your name?"
message 84: by Fallen (new)
Fallen (fallencatalyst) Derek tilted his head as he watched the guy. Something was off about him. He looked him over curiously and finally connected the dots. This guy must’ve been around apes or something. It was the only explanation that made any sense.
Derek stood still and let them approach him. He didn’t want to do something wrong and accidentally get attacked by him. He watched him curiously, keeping his mouth shut despite all of his questions.
~~~~

Nick shrugged slightly. “Whatever useful stuff I can find.. weapons, gas, Medical supplies. People. Etc.” he replied, looking her over. “Yeah. I guess. It was just another place on the map along the way..” he explained. “I’m Nick. And you are?” He replied. He stopped walking and kept a bit of distance between them, not wanting to invade her space or anything.

message 85: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Tarzan continued to advance forward when the other creature didn't move away or react badly in any way. He got all the way up to within less than a foot of the other being. He could see that it was looking at him in just as curious a manner, no fear in its eyes. With that being the case Tarzan decided to make a bold move and grab one of the creature's hands. He held it in his own, examining it slowly. It looked very much like his own, but without all the calluses or stains that he had from living in the jungle. He had no idea how to process this.

~~~
"Anya," she replied as she started off in the direction of the run-down pharmacy. "There isn't a whole lot in the way of medical supplies, but there are still some over-the-counter medicines and basic first aid supplies. The hospital the next town over is absolutely swarming with zombies, so I haven't been in to get anything there. I have a pair of crutches that I just finished using though. As for gas, there is no gas station in this town, and the next town is about two miles over. You might be able to siphon some from the cars around here. People, I'm the only one I've seen in a while."
message 86: by Fallen (new)
Fallen (fallencatalyst) Derek jumped slightly when the other person suddenly grabbed his hand. He forced himself to be still and let the guy look st his hand. “Just like you. We’re the same..” he said softly, biting his lip. He wiggled his fingers slightly at the other person before taking his hand back from him. He tried to figure out some way to communicate to this person since he didn’t seem to understand English or what he was saying. Derek bit his lip lightly.
~~~

Nick tilted his head and followed her. “It’s not really a requirement of mine to get stuff. I’ve just learned that it’s a good idea to at least look for stuff when I can, just in case.” He explained, moving so he walked beside her. “Yeah. That was my plan before I moved on to the next town. And really? Same here. I Haven’t seen anyone else in the past week or two.” Nick explained as they walked. He looked over at her. “So are you just passing through here or live here or what?” He asked curiously. He kept looking around as they walked.

message 87: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Tarzan had heard that word a lot, 'you', in reference from one creature to another. Thus, he assumed that this creature was talking about him, but he didn't really know why. "Like you," he repeated in a low, gruff tone of voice, though he still wasn't entirely sure what it meant. He then took notice of the way that the creature was biting at his lower lip. Tarzan copied this as well for a moment before starting to move around to the back side of the creature, to see him from behind.

~~~
"I sprained my ankle a few weeks ago and I stopped here to let it heal. I plan to head out soon, but it has been pretty nice. I just have to keep moving though, to find my brother," Anya said, though she then clammed up. She wasn't usually so open with strangers, especially when it came to information about her brother, or herself. "What about you? Looking for someone? Or already lost everyone?" It was blunt, but that was just how she was.
message 88: by Fallen (new)
Fallen (fallencatalyst) Derek nodded. “Yeah.” He agreed quietly. He noted how they mimicked his habit so he stopped biting his lip. He watched the guy, turning his head to look at him as he moved behind him. He didn’t think that they’d harm him but then again, they appeared wild so who’s knows what they’d do. “Who are you?” He asked quietly, not really expecting an answer but it was worth a try until he figured out some better way to communicate. Derek glanced back in the direction of the camp for a moment, wondering if anyone else knew this person was out there.
~~~~

“Makes sense, which way are you going?” Nick asked, glancing over at her. He didn’t question how her and her brother were separated or anything. Family was a touchy subject for pretty much anyone since practically Everyone had a family member or friend who’d become a zombie or been killed by one or was missing. “Uhh. Sorta both. I’m looking for someone except I only have their location from like 6 months ago and have no idea if they’re still there or not. So I’m kinda heading to look for them, kinda just working on trying to survive out here and adapt.” Nick explained, shrugging slightly.

message 89: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Tarzan ignored the question, obviously having no idea what it meant, and just continued to circle around the man, looking him over. When he came back around to facing the man he pointed at himself. "Tarzan," he said simply, trying to indicate that that was who he was. With that he then turned and used a vine to help himself climb up a tree and disappear off into the jungle. He didn't go far, so that he might still be able to watch this creature, but he figured he had done enough up-close investigation for one day.

~~~
Anya sighed and nodded, "Same. I'm heading west, toward that safe zone they were supposedly starting in New Mexico. I honestly don't even know if they made it there, but it can't hurt to look. Plus, I think it helps to have some kind of purpose out here, you know? It cuts down on the boredom when you have a goal in mind." She shrugged before carefully opening the door to the town's pharmacy. She did a quick sweep of the place while also making sure to note where the boy was at all times.
message 90: by Fallen (new)
Fallen (fallencatalyst) Derek raised an eyebrow. He nodded slightly when he said a name. “Derek.” He replied, pointing back at himself to indicate that that was what he was called. He watched at the man, Tarzan, grabbed a vine and headed back up into the trees. Derek looked around for a minute longer before heading back towards the camp. He wanted to look for Tarzan while he was there and try to talk to him more and try and learn but he would wait and let Tarzan choose to approach him if he wanted to. He debated if he should tell the others or just keep it his secret for a bit.
~~~~

Nick nodded slightly. “We’re heading the same way then.” He noted. He looked around the pharmacy as they walked in, making sure they were alone and there wasn’t any surprises waiting for them. Nick moved and wandered around, looking for anything that would prove useful. “Yeah. It definitely helps. Not sure boredom is quite how I would describe it though.” He commented, glancing over at her. He thought about offering to let her travel with him. It’d be nice to have someone to have his back plus company would definitely be a big bonus. And they were heading the same way so by using his car, it would help her get to her destination quicker.

message 91: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Derek. Was that what they were all called, or just that one? Tarzan hadn't the slightest clue, but he pondered if over in his head as he went back to his family. He wouldn't tell them of his adventure,but he may warn them to stay away from the beach for now, just to be on the safe side. This Derek thing didn't seem to be harmful, but he also wasn't fearful, so it was worth taking caution over. He would continue to watch over all of these creatures and make further judgement on the course of action as he did.

~~~
"I thought I would honestly see more people heading in that direction, but there haven't been many so far. I have met only three or four people since I started and they were all going the opposite way. None of them could tell me if New Mexico had worked out though, so I still have to try," Anya told him, mostly just to keep there from being any awkward silence. She didn't know if she ought to offer to travel with this guy, or to just let him go on his merry way alone. He did have a nice vehicle, but she wasn't sure that was enough incentive.
message 92: by Fallen (new)
Fallen (fallencatalyst) Derek quietly headed back to their camp. He talked with some of the people. the main exploration and actual work they were going to be doing wasn’t gonna start till tomorrow so he just took some time to get settled in and ready for the next day. His mind kept wandering back to Tarzan though. He had so many questions for him but no way to really ask them all since they didn’t have much of a common language. Derek tried to brainstorm some ideas, both for communicating to him and just trying to guess some of the answers to the questions he had.
~~~~

Nick nodded. “Interesting. I haven’t heard anything about it going wrong or failing though. So maybe it’s just heavily fortified or something and so most people aren’t heading there..” He commented, not finding anything of value so he moved and went behind the main pharmacy counter. After a minute, he looked back over at her. “If you would like, you could come with me. I don’t know how you’re getting from place to place but a car is decently quicker and a bit safer than on foot.” He offered to her quietly, shrugging.

message 93: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Tarzan waited until night fall and then crept back to the beach to watch the creatures. He had a basic concept of fire and he could seem them all starting to bloom as the creatures settled down to go to bed. He had seen them sleep in some kind of triangular nests and knew that they would do the same tonight. He would go down and look at their things once they were all asleep. He had almost been caught doing this the night before but the curiosity was too great not to try it again tonight. He needed to know about them.

~~~
"I actually don't know how to drive a car. I was using a bike for a while, and then I figured out how to use a motorcycle, but neither is very secure. If you wouldn't mind me tagging along, I'd like to at least consider it. Do you plan to stay through the night? Or are you leaving immediately. I still need time to get my things together, if you don't mind," Anya replied, basically saying yes before her mind could tell her not to. Of course, she really did want time to think on it, but she knew it would be best just to go with him.
message 94: by Fallen (new)
Fallen (fallencatalyst) Derek joined the others at the fire for a bit. He chatted and ate with them but once a few of the others went off to bed, he did the same. He was a light sleeper typically and figured that he’d still be up for a bit but if he laid down exhaustion would just take over and he’d be able to sleep for a bit before the noises of the jungle and others would start waking him up. He laid down in his tent, setting the notebook full of his questions and ideas down next to him. Derek quickly fell asleep for a bit but woke up later when he thought he heard someone moving around nearby.
~~~~~

“I could teach you someday. And I don’t mind you tagging along if that’s what you’d like to do.” Nick replied with a shrug. “And not until morning. This place seems secure enough to crash for the night at least.” He answered, glancing over at her before back around the more secure pharmacy area. He didn’t find much that could be useful there either so he came back out, stretching slightly. He looked over at Anya for a moment.

message 95: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Tarzan waited until all of the creatures had gone into their triangles and been there for some time before he started to venture onto the beach. He was as quiet as possible, though he doubted anyone would hear him over the crashing of the tide on the shore. He wandered along next to the fire pits and looked at the things that were left around them. There were quite a few tools, though he didn't know what any of them did.

He picked up a pot that had been used to cook, but he did not know that. He sniffed it and it smelled good, though he did not know why. He assumed it had been used for eating of some kind, but he could not fathom how.

~~~
"Hmm, ok I would like to learn some time," Anya replied after considering it for a moment. She was relieved to know that he would be staying the night, so that she would have time to avoid him if she decided not to go with him.
As he looked at her she stared back at him blankly. She had yet to make any facial expression toward him at all, happy, mad, or otherwise. Even before the apocalypse she hadn't been one for emotion, but now she was even less emotive.
message 96: by Fallen (new)
Fallen (fallencatalyst) Derek woke up and glanced around the dark tent he was in. He sighed and rubbed his face, listening to all the noise around him. He laid there for a bit, just trying to go back to sleep. When that failed, he quietly got up and came out of his tent. He went over to their main area where they had a command tent and stuff, quietly turning on a lantern. He looked around and froze slightly when he saw the guy again. He frowned slightly and set his notebook down, watching them carefully.
~~~~

“It shouldn’t be too difficult to learn.” Nick shrugged at her. “Just let me know once we head off and I can teach you.” He told her. He noticed how her face seemed completely blank and devoid of emotion and raised an eyebrow at her. “Nice poker face.” He commented and looked around the store again. Nick kinda wished he could be that blank but that wasn’t him. He was always biting his lip or doing something, unable to just keep his emotions completely hidden.

message 97: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments The lightly of the lantern didn't alert him at first, but when it did he jumped back and held up the object in his hand to use as a defense. When he noticed it was the same creature as before, Derek, he lowered it slightly. He just stared back at this Derek for a couple of long moments, a slight scowl on his face. He did not appreciate being watched, or frightened. The curiosity was just too great to resist though. He began slowly toward Derek as he had done earlier.

~~~
"Emotions made people weak even before the zombies," Anya replied simply with a shrug of her shoulders. "But I'll have you know that I actually am quite good at poker," she added in something that could almost be considered a joke, if she had smiled or laughed at all with it. She had grown up in a harsh world though, where smiling and laughing were commodities that she couldn't afford.
"Anyway, you can come with me and we can go through my supplies to see what we are going to bring," she said, waving for him to follow her back out of the pharmacy.
message 98: by Fallen (new)
Fallen (fallencatalyst) “Sorry. Didn’t mean to scare you.” Derek said softly, holding his hands out slightly at his sides to show he had no weapons and wasn’t going to harm him. He behaved more like an animal it seemed so he figured it’d be safer to act accordingly and avoid possible harm. Derek watched him cautiously. “What are you doing here?” He asked quietly. He knew not to really expect an answer but it felt odd to not even try and ask. He watched Tarzan for a moment before moving and sitting down in one of the chairs outside as he approached. Derek sat still and quiet, not wanting to wake anyone up.
~~~

Nick nodded. “Agreed. But they also make us human.” He commented. He caught that she meant her poker comment in more of a light joking way and smiled a bit at her. “Maybe you’ll have to teach me then.” He looked around before moving to follow her. “Alright. Lead the way.” He followed her out of the pharmacy, looking around. “Have you been alone this whole time?” Nick asked her curiously, just wanting to talk a bit so he could know a bit about her and she could know more about him. Plus, it would help him trust her which would make traveling together a lot less anxiety filled.

message 99: by Isis (new)

Isis | 5021 comments Tarzan watched Derek sit down in a chair, the continued to approach him. He had heard that word before 'what'. It seemed to be some kind of question word. So, he held up the pan in his hand and looked at it curiously. "What?" he asked, though it wasn't necessarily generated at Derek, and more just at the pan itself.

~~~
"I've been alone most of my life. I'm used to it and it doesn't bother me, so yes, I've been alone this whole time. Like I said, I've passed a few other people but I didn't really spend time with them," Anya told him. "What about you? Why are you traveling alone? You seem like the type of guy who had a lot of friends in high school and a bright future ahead of you. Am I right or wrong? You've got that charming smile that successful people have."
As she spoke she lead him cautiously back to the house were here things were harbored. She had quite a lot of food stored up as well as some of the better medical supplies she had looted just in case. She didn't want to be caught in a bad place without the supplies.
message 100: by Fallen (new)
Fallen (fallencatalyst) Derek watched him. “That’s a pan.” He told him simply, pointing at it. “It’s used to cook..” He watched and waited to see if he had more questions or things to say. He grabbed his notebook from the table and flipped it open, jotting a few things down. He wished he could ask some more complex questions but that didn’t seem feasible so he decided that he would try to observe and study him, just to try and figure out more about he must’ve been brought up and how it made him seem so different.
~~~~

Nick nodded. “Alright.” He looked over at her and listened as she theorized a bit about who he was. “Well Thank you for the compliment. And I don’t know. I did have some friends but once this all started, I don’t know, I just Sorta focused on that and doing what I could to keep myself safe and by the time it got near where I was, I wasn’t close with anyone.” He explained. “And then I packed up and left and here we are.” He told her, telling a bit more than he’d planned on but it was all pretty simple vague stuff so it didn’t concern him too much. Nick walked with her to the house she was camping out in.
