The fairies from 13 Treasures and the pixies from Fablehaven get together to make mischief in the real world.

I did this one and I thought a fun crossover would be Geralt from The Witcher series as the new Defense Against Dark Arts professor in the Harry Potter series.

Great job, Cora and Max!!

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
We are in Maryland, USA
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
I am looking forward to reading A Fire Story. Emma is making her way through the Harry Potter series (she is currently reading book 4) and Max is looking forward to We're Not from Here.
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
Rice Krispie treats.
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I am a stay at home mom who likes to read and photography. Max is my 12-year old son and Emma is my 15-year old daughter. They both do acrobatic gymnastics (when we are not stuck at home).
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
We have no where to go today, so that is a change compared to previous readathons.

We just randomly selected our first books to fulfill the BINGO square. He is starting with Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library and I am starting with Witchmark.

Max and I are ready!

Cora: I live in Maryland and have three kids (Max is participating and my daughter Emma (15) sometime drops in for part of the readathon. My hobbies are reading, photography, and driving the kids back and forth to their acrobatic gymnastics practices.
Max: I am 12-years-old and in 7th grade. So far school has been all virtual this year. I am a competitive acrobatic gymnast and I have a brown belt in tang soo do. I especially like to listen to audiobooks.
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
We have done less planning today, especially when it comes to snacks. Max has had a migraine headache for the last two days, so we are going to see how he feels as the day goes on and play it by ear.

CORA:

MAX:
Max is sleeping in because he has had a migraine for the last two days. I didn't want to wake him up in case the headache is still lingering.

After seeing the Halloween Mini Challenge on the Website, I decided to start Anna Dressed in Blood for a spooky read/listen.

CORA:
Since How to Be a Good Creature: A Memoir in Thirteen Animals is finished, I decided to start Anna Dressed in Blood as my next audiobook. I am using this book to go towards the Halloween Mini Challenge.
MAX: (Still Sleeping I think)

I am doing some chores and still listening to Anna Dressed in Blood.

Oh noooo to be 12 and have a migraine for 2 days?! That's awful!! I get them as an adult and I can barely function. Poor kid! Glad Max was able to recover and get some reading done. I love that he's so into audiobooks! That shows a really good focus! How to Be a Good Creature, They Called Us Enemy, and the Bob series are in my (endless) TBR. I enjoyed Anna Dressed in Blood, the sequel a little less so. Great job Cora and Max!

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today? Maryland, USA
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? I didn't make a stack this time. I am winging it!
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to? Veggies and dip.
4) Tell us a little something about yourself! I live in Maryland. I have three teenaged kids and in addition to reading, I like photography. Max is 13, in middle school (virtually) and his Book Wars competition is next week. When he is not reading he likes video games, acrobatic gymnastics, and karate.
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to? We did no preplanning this time, we will se how that goes.

We have both started with a new audio book in the car on the way to gymnastics practice. We started Took: A Ghost Story. It is one of the books on the list for his Book Wars team and since it is a spooky book it is perfect for this month.
I am trying to finish up my current audiobook Neanderthal Seeks Human.
The kindle book I am working on is The Lacuna.
