Unfortunately I haven't read a horror book yet!
But will get to it around Nov, so I don't have any recommendations about that Genre.
But wouldn't you wanna read real horror instead ..."
Nah, I'm a chicken XD Plus my mom would probably throw pillows at my head. I'll get curious, watch scary movies, and then drive her crazy with how freaked out I got. Sometimes I'll point out a new horror flick on tv and I'm just doing it out of interest and she'll cut me off and say "No." Lol it's hilarious.
Jane Eyre isn't really horror. I didn't even know that it fell into that category.
I do love that book though. It's what really made me love classics. It was my first one. I remember not loving the cover so much when I bought it along 2 other books so I left it to be read at the end. And it was the best. That's when I remembered the quote: ''Don't judge a book by its cover".

I understand lol. My lil sister is the same and she gets all curious and assures us that she won't get scared and bug us later but she does. And we try to keep her away from horror.

Your progress was already 7/12
Is it supposed to be 8/12 now?"
Yes, sorry about that. Just realised my mistake.

This makes my progress update 9/12. Up to date, as I read it in Aug so it works well for Aug's banned book theme.
(I'm message 8)

But, hey, if anyone needs an excuse to finally read it, there it is!

My plan:
-under 200: Opal (psh, I'll finish that in a hour)
-horror: The Picture of Dorian Gray (almost done!)
-poetry: Milk and Honey (almost done!)
-non-fiction: First Year Nurse: Wisdom, Warnings, and What I Wish I'd Known My First 100 Days on the Job (almost done!)
-movie adaptation: To All the Boys I've Loved Before ( I want this one SO BAD)
-recommended: The Foxhole Court (almost done!)
Good Luck Gabi :)
I loved Milk and Honey. I read it a few months ago -also to all the boys I've loved before.
I want to read The Picture or Dorian Gray before the year ends!
Good Luck!
