They keep partying, fighting, making more gods...It's such an over the top world where she seems to be lost. I thought she would've find happiness with Glaucos and trespassing the rules of mortuality she made him immortal. Glaucos seemed to be like all the other gods and I've found it funny how she took revenge Scylla. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[It seems to be that the women or the godesses are having the upper hand in this book. They have the most power and let the men think they have it. I have the feeling that Circe is not to bad, that the others are much worse than her. The part of the Minotaurus was very interesting to read. For now, I had a different view on how this book was. For now it feels a little slow paced but the writing style is super entertaining so I’m not complaining.

The writing style was good, the character growth was good, the detailing of other characters that we meet was fantastic and makes you curious about seeing more of it in other books, but I was just bored and decided that I’d gotten enough. About that: (view spoiler)[The character growth is interesting, but it seems only Circe's character is growing and for the others the author stays true to the mythology and that's a pity. Circe was also the only goddess that wasn't happy for being a god and that was an interesting development. Also in the end of the story. (hide spoiler)]

Yes, I totally agree on what you're saying. It was hard to finish and I didn't want to give up, because of the great ratings, but it was just average. I thought that something would happen or that it would build up to a climax, but no.

And it doesn’t feel like a super fast paced book necessarily, but in these first few chapters I feel like there’s already been a lot of plot developments which is keeping it exciting! (view spoiler)[ Yes! It is very enjoyable and easy to follow the storyline, they are not overwhelming us with characters, which is very impressive considering Greek mythology involves so many characters that it's hard to keep it simple.

I haven't read many books which involved Circe (only Percy Jackson actually) so it's also very knowledgeable, like I'm learning more about her and her brother and other characters which I haven't heard of. (I know it's probably not exactly what the Ancient Greeks believed in but it's a very good introduction) (hide spoiler)]

Yes I also loved Percy Jackson when I read it years ago and this is really reminding me of it! It's so cool to hear about all of these characters that are somewhat familiar, but now actually putting it all in a bit more context!
