Pam Johnson The day I finished this book we went to Costco where I rather compulsively shaped up the carts in the parking lot, was friendlier than usual and tried unsuccessfully not to cross my legs at the meeting we attended that evening. I was more gentle than usual on a social media blog and was pleased that the snarky poster responded with a kinder and gentler manner. George was a teen when he first transcribed these rules and I wonder what might happen if today's freshmen in high school were assigned these rules to be written in longhand, as George did, and considered the rules of civility people were encouraged to observe so long ago. It would be worth a try.
