I finished book 9 last night and my only complaint is that it was over too soon. St. Mary's books are always over too soon, not because they are too short but just because I am never ready for them to end. I listened to the audiobook version, as I usually do, and Zara Ramm was top notch, as always. The book gets full stars from me.

I read the kindle version this time but I normally listen to the audio book, I was reading everything in Zara Ramm's voice still lol

She and Max are forever joined in my head.

Agreed that Zara Ramm IS Max to me! First stumbled upon Jodi Taylor and the St Mary's saga when I was browsing an Audible sale that offered "Just One Damned Thing After Another" . Read the teaser and it looked good so I got it. Now both my wife and I are full fledged "Disaster Magnets" with all the books and short stories . And, as noted, Zara is Max as far as we're concerned.
