We also love our MothMan~

Sorry for taking you from them T.T
There're pics of Ezra Miller in the Morph one~
Okay, truce off the battlefield?

It's better this way. I'm protective of both my boys because they're my book babies. So I'd rather not be privy to any of the threads that might hate on them for any reason or other.
Maybe you could post some of those Ezra Miller pics within the photos section of the fan pages?
Natalia wrote: "And Morpheus is one of the best supernatural characters/romantic interests in all of YA. AND HE IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE."
Just now seeing this, but thank you! I'm so flattered to hear that. He's certainly come alive for me on the pages. One of my favorite characters ever to write, because he's so multi-faceted. ;)

I'll try to find somewhere to post it. Maybe the Hypothetical Splintered Movie page?

Nah, I'm still gonna vote Ben Barnes. BECAUSE HE HAS THOSE EYES...
Ooh, I've missed a heated discussion.Firstly, thank you @AG for the absolutely lovely words.
As for the discussion, I've skimmed through it. And though this has probably already been said:
Considering everything he's been through, I feel Jeb needs some serious congratulations for coming out of such a situation and living to fight on. Watching someone be abused is a horrendous, life altering thing. And he's working on it, he's channeling his feelings, he's caring and he's thoughtful, he's got good morals--etc.
That's pretty awesome for a kid his age in general. You have to give him a little credit; just going out of high school and trying to maintain a relationship while you're figuring out your life has got to be difficult. He's trying, you can tell he is.
I think Jeb's overprotective is Morpheus' manipulative. They're both doing the things they are/acting the way they do for Alyssa's benefit. And while I obviously have a preferred couple in mind, stated time and time again, I do seriously hope that Jeb is able to remain in Alyssa's life (if it doesn't hurt him) and find someone perfect for himself.
Then again, we don't know for sure who Alyssa will end up with. Agh. I'm fond of both of them. I want everyone to be happy.
I have to say that while I sympathize with Jeb, I don't think he's the right for for Alyssa. While I may be biased with my adoration for Morpheus, I feel that even though Jeb is a great guy, his relationship with Alyssa is still based off of their childhood friendship and won't advance very far from that stage.
I agree my point of view of Jeb is subjective and really bias because I'm all for Morpheus. He's a really good guy and would make a great guy to some lucky human girl.I actually find it kind of funny how in this love triangle Morpheus plays the role of the dangerous interloper, despite the fact he shared a childhood with Alyssa, and Jeb is the stable best friend. Of Aylssa were to go to Wonderland with our Mothman (as we're all so hoping she will) back in the human world Jeb would be become the "bad boy" to his future human girlfriend. Tattoos, skater, motorcycle aren't things that most parents instantly approve of.
You're welcome @Sydney. ;) I meant it! And thanks for your comments on the guys. ;)@Kelsey and @Liz, thanks for your input, too.
I need to make it clear that my post up there wasn't meant in any way as a "who I'd pick for Al" post. It was just meant to show my thoughts on the characterization of the guys from the author's perspective.
Only Alyssa's heart can decide where she belongs and who she belongs with in the end. ;)
ON THAT NOTE, we need to get someone over here to post some cute character quirks so we don't get derailed into the guy debate territory. That's not what this thread's meant for (Team threads rock for that!).
We must get back on track! :)
I'll get the ball rolling with this one:
When Chessie really wants to annoy Morpheus (because they adore teasing each other) he'll sneak into the Mothman's wardrobe closets and steal buttons and embellishments off of his most prized ensembles, which he will then hide like a pack rat in various, quirky places around Morph's manor. Chess accomplishes this by sending his body on the mission while keeping watch at Morpheus's bedroom door with his disconnected head.
Can you tell I love their bromance? ;)
Diane wrote: "Aw, too sweet!!! I love Chessie! He couldn't have chosen a better way to drive Morpheus crazy than that! Lol"Hehe. Right? Those two are adorable. ;P Think how long they've been friends. They've been hanging out and causing trouble since before Morph even "morphed".
Nessy wrote: "A.G. wrote: "da Hanci wrote: "I'll try to find somewhere to post it. Maybe the Hypothetical Splintered Movie page? "That sounds like the perfect place for them. :D"

Ben is definitely in the running. He's beautiful and his eyes are soooo soulful.
Well excuse me as I go *poof* due to spontaneous combustion caused by cuteness overload. I'm now envisioning a moth and a sort of flying-kitten-hummingbird-mess-of-adorable netherling flying about together.
@ A.G. : I know I'm being nit-picky and ridiculous, but sometimes I get incredibly nervous that you call Alyssa "Al" most of the time. Because it's Jeb's nickname for her, he is the only person in the story who called her that. Is that supposed to hint at something that you as an author mostly see her as "Al"? Oh, and I love the the bromance between Morpheus and Chessie too! I laughed how in Unhinged Alyssa called Chessie Morpheus's "right hand cat". It sounded so hilarious.
And I can only imagine how annoyed Morpheus will be to discover some of his possessions are missing. Despite the fact that he lives amid chaos and often creates one too, I imagine he still likes to keep his things in order.
Diane wrote: "Now, Morpheus and Chessie wreaking havoc might make some fun e-novellas, AG - just sayin'... ;)"Haha. Not a bad idea at all. IF ONLY I COULD FIND THE TIME. @.@
Natalia wrote: "@ A.G. : I know I'm being nit-picky and ridiculous, but sometimes I get incredibly nervous that you call Alyssa "Al" most of the time. Because it's Jeb's nickname for her, he is the only person in ..."
You're not being ridiculous, but please, don't second guess everything or look for underlying meanings. I'm not the kind of author (or person) who would play head games like that.
I try so hard to word things so I don't upset anyone but it can be difficult to always stop and think every minute detail through before I post because I'm so busy.
When I"m in a hurry, I use "Al". It's just easier to type. Just like I use "Jeb" or "Morph" or "Chess". Also, I think of my characters via their nicknames. I use terms of affection for all of them without even realizing it. So don't let it get inside your head, or I'll start being afraid to post anything. @.@
And YES. Morpheus is very orderly about his "things", in spite of his passion for all things chaotic and mad. Which is another endearing contradiction/characteristic to him that I love. :)
@ A.G.: Okay, thank you. And please, don't be afraid to post, I love your posts! And everyone else's too, for that matter. This group if my favorite place on Goodreads, it made me laugh so much since I came here :)

Morpheus, such a contradiction of everything :3

And now you tell me that he likes an ordered wardrobe (I am an ordering my wardrobe maniac, so...) A.G. can you write one bad boy for me and then I'll marry him happily!
OMG OMG CHESSIE AND MORPHEUS!!! THIS IS...THAT IS...SUPER CUTE... *hypervialates* Are they going to be Chessie/Morph scenes in Ensnared?
And I read that line about Morpheus being a VEEEEEEEEERY GOOOOOOOOOOD KIIIIIISSER *and my dirty mind is just getting to work, so beware Goodreads*
I wonder how Morpheus can get back at Chessie? Are there things that annoy him too? I remember someone mentioning that Chessie doesn't like to be called a cat. But I think Morpheus can be more creative than this. Definitely ;)

Or maybe putting cat ear headbands on Chess XD

Regarding A. G.'s comment earlier on in this thread about Jeb and Morpheus, I must say that I totally understand what she was saying. It seems to me that some mothlings don't like Jeb because he's over protective. A. G. is right. People will act sometimes based on past experiences. We all do. And everyone has flaws. Morpheus is a bit manipulating by human standards. I am waaay too stubborn and quick tempered. But that's what makes the the characters deep and stories interesting. Flaws and the journey of overcoming them.At least, that's what I believe, but I am pretty deep in the pool of insanity.

The characters are DEEP.
That's why it is so hard for me to decide who Alyssa should end up with. (I'm a mothling because I want His Royal Mothiness for myself! >:-})

MORPHEUS IS FABULOUS! <3 <3 <3 (Alyssa should thats end up with him, I would ditch Jeb in a heartbeat for Morph. :P )I can see Morph having a habit of twirling his hat around, or curling his hair around his finger when he thinks. ;)
I didn't know someone made a whole thread for this!!!My quirk thoughts are in the headcanons thread :)
Ik im late but i imagine this: Alyssa is sitting in the garden behind the castle with a moth on her finger -Your a interesting one aren't you? she says. Morph walks in
-I would like to believe I am. he says
Alyssa snorts
-you are VERY VERY interesting Morpheus but I wasn't talking to you.
- How rude of me. I forgot to greet you. Hello lovely Alyssa. What is going on in that brilliant head of yours?
Alyssa examines the moth more closely
- Why don't you snoop around in my head like you usually do?
Morpheus ignores the question and gesture to the moth.
- I see your growing fond of my little moth's here.
Alyssa tilts her head and looks at him.
-There's only one moth I'm fond of.
Morpheus sits down next to her.
- Is that moth me?
Alyssa snorts
- In your dreams Moth Boy.
She looks at the flashing jewls on his face
-Maybe I am growing fond of you...just a little

I saw him first in Prince Caspian and fell in love in Voyage of the Dawn Treader. My mom and I had a heated debate on whether Ezra or Ben should play His Royal Mothiness. Ben-Gorgeous-Eyes-Barns won with flying colors.

Of course! And I know everyone's opinion won't be the same as mine. But at least this way, everyone knows what I saw them as when they were born into my mind, you know? ;)
And your play on words was FAB! LOL
