@ Nessy: I even found a fire theme song for Alyssa for this occasion, lol. Check out Beauty on the Fire by Natalie Imbruglia. You'll like it :) P.S. I know this is not a thread for songs, but this one doesn't have a prayer of making it to Alyssa's list anyway, so ....
The song

And that lighthouse bed isn't a normal bed!....
It has a mirror :3
Nessy wrote: "But then that lighthouse bed was just a normal bed..."Might be, might be not. Maybe there is a magic trick to this bed ;)
But even if it is "just a normal bed", it is still a bed, you know, and remember this quote from Splintered: "Your love is the only magic I need."

That's a really cool song.
I know I'm an evil fangirl for bringing this up twice, but DOES MORPHEUS SLEEP.Yes, I have read
Wherever A.G. is, does he actually sleep (whether or not he dreams)?
Thank you *bows*
I'd like to think Morph sleeps as sprawled out as possible, especially after being trapped in a cocoon.
Dahanci wrote: "I know I'm an evil fangirl for bringing this up twice, but DOES MORPHEUS SLEEP.Yes, I have read a lot of fanfiction on it and lets face it nobody can get enough of morph sleeping, but I seriously..."
I think he dreams of Alyssa's netherling side. ;)
Dahanci wrote: "I know I'm an evil fangirl for bringing this up twice, but DOES MORPHEUS SLEEP.Yes, I have read a lot of fanfiction on it and lets face it nobody can get enough of morph sleeping, but I seriously..."
Girl, I just watched "Dorian Gray" with Ben Barnes as the main role.
Don`t ask if Morpheus sleeps...I saw some things that can be done on a bed just now...
Sydney wrote: "I'd like to think Morph sleeps as sprawled out as possible, especially after being trapped in a cocoon."Yeah and with lots of pillows as in my fanfiction! :D :D :D
Sydney wrote: "I'd like to think Morph sleeps as sprawled out as possible, especially after being trapped in a cocoon."but why cant he dreeeeeeam
*has a sad*
Are you sure he can't dream? Because if he can't dream, how does it make him different from other netherlings?
Natalia wrote: "Are you sure he can't dream? Because if he can't dream, how does it make him different from other netherlings?"He`s the unique one, that can sneak into dreams...but nobody said anything about dreaming!
Well, it's been said netherling children don't dream, one could assume netherlings don't either. Okay, seriously A.G., this is what happens to the forums without you COME BACK PLZ
Dahanci wrote: "Well, it's been said netherling children don't dream, one could assume netherlings don't either. Okay, seriously A.G., this is what happens to the forums without you COME BACK PLZ"
*ducks in*
LOL. Sorry guys. I'm working really hard on revamping my website and doing edits on my NA so I can get another book out there.
Yes, Morpheus does sleep. But no one in Wonderland dreams. (view spoiler)
But, he does have the power to step into dreams and be a part of them. From Unhinged: "He always brought me to Wonderland in my dreams, but we didn’t often interact with other netherlings. Unless Morpheus let them, they couldn’t see through the veil of sleep standing between us. We could observe them, though, like watching fish swim in a tank."
That's what makes him stand apart from other netherlings. They can't even do that. ;)
Hope this helped! I'll try to check in on the fanfic threads in a few days.
*ducks back out to work*
I have a hard time believing Morpheus doesn't have imagination. He is a mastermind. He designs outfits. And he did admit to having fantasies about Alyssa, sure that required at least some imagination, lol.Maybe he can't dream, but he seems to be pretty creative to me.
Edit: Or did you mean that he just can't use his imagination for magic purposes?
And YAY! for a new NA book ! Can't wait to read it ))))
Natalia wrote: "I have a hard time believing Morpheus doesn't have imagination. He is a mastermind. He designs outfits. I'm just dropping these teasers left and right... maybe I'm overtired/overworked. Heh.
A.G. wrote: "WOW. I'm just dropping these teasers left and right..."LOL)) Keep them coming, we don't mind at all ;)

*sigh* One more reason to love Morpheus.
Now, my creative mind is rebelling, so I just have to say it:
SEE TEAM WHEELS! NOT ONLY YOUR BOY CAN BE MARKED AS CREATIVE!
However, this does bring up an interesting question-If Morpheus and Alyssa have funtimes in her dreams, does it count as cheating on Jeb?
And, for that matter, is it even possible XD
Dahanci wrote: "However, this does bring up an interesting question-If Morpheus and Alyssa have funtimes in her dreams, does it count as cheating on Jeb?"
Her dreams felt pretty real. I just don't think he would try anything serious in a dream until they had their "funtimes" in reality ;)
Are you contemplating another fanfic?
And guys, I just couldn't pass this one up."That's why they need a (view spoiler)" :)
It cracked me up. Makes it sound almost like a duty. Like in the middle ages. Alyssa and Morpheus have to do it for everyone's sake, and work really hard on it too. I don't think they would mind, though. XD

If I wasn't dying enough from Natalia's comment, this was totally the cherry on top XD
And, okay fine, I was contemplating that fanfic but then I figured it wouldn't be too interesting, also just hard to write and generally OOC...
I'm not entirely into *just* romance. There has to be plot (which I swear to God Reversed has, don't worry) XD
...Which is why I'm in the Splintered fanclub and not the Twilight one.

Agreed on those last three sentences.
Wait, there was romance in Twilight, what? I don't remember seeing that...I feel bad for Kristen Stewart though; people only seem to know her for that mindless roll, and she's really an awesome person and role model. And she's gorgeous and a good actor.
Not off topic at all.
@Diane; my apologies, I agree, though I wasn't meaning to bash Twilight. The writing itself was quite good, I think, but the romance aspect of it has never been to my taste, which is just my opinion and nothing more.
And to throw this thread back on topic; I think Jeb would be horribly picky about how his works were displayed; very much so a perfectionist in that aspect of things, though he also has a drawer in his dresser stuffed full of ruined shirts and jeans because he pays attention to nothing more than his painting when he's working.
Thoughts; I wonder if the lack of children and magical imagination-usage are related, at all? Like "miracle of life" is an abstract thought that needs the imagination to...conceive the idea of making a mini Morphlyssa before actually conceiving mini Morphlyssa.Could someone please direct me to the topic in which we were talking about this @_@
Dahanci wrote: "Oh shoot you're checking in on the fanfic threads in a few days now i have to finish reversed and ive been working on sydney's prompt and neither are done

I can't find the fanfic threads, where could I find them? And if there isn't one, maybe we should make one? That'd be super helpful, for remaining on topic and keeping fanfic ideas in one place
and for a character quirk, I think Jeb would mess with the hem of his shirt whenever he was nervous. Or he'd pick at his nails

Ok guys, stop hating Twilight, because I actually love it (those series told me that I like reading books!) and all that hate just hurts me!
Sydney wrote: "Thoughts; I wonder if the lack of children and magical imagination-usage are related, at all? Like "miracle of life" is an abstract thought that needs the imagination to...conceive the idea of maki..."I like that. And whenever we start talking about nether children I hear Ivory saying that their children are not like human children.
Soooo...they are just born adults or what?
Because, let`s examine Morpheus:
YEAH, I KNOW HOW THAT SOUNDED!
1. He was a Caterpillar for we-don`t-know-how-much-years
2. He was wrapped in a cocoon for 75 years.
3. He broke free as the drop-dead-sexy, bluehaired, hookah smoking guy with the hat.
END of story.
Is that what happens with all of them?
And if Ivory is a swan, does it mean she was born from and egg?????
Crazy thoughts flying....
May I just point out that whatever we are discussing, it always comes down to Morpheus ))) Because he is the gem of this series, and everything revolves around him. Try as she might, Alyssa can't escape the pull of his gravity too.And @Nessy: I think you are onto something! I've been thinking about it too, and it's either they are not born in the "traditional" sense of the word, like you said, or they are born with minds of adults, skipping the childhood altogether. Because even when Morpheus "became" a child, his mind was still not a child's mind. Whatever the book said, he didn't think and act like an average boy. He was too focused on his goal, too adult-like.
Natalia wrote: "May I just point out that whatever we are discussing, it always comes down to Morpheus ))) Because he is the gem of this series, and everything revolves around him. He did had the mind of a six-year old BUT he didn`t forgot his goals. He just accomplished them in a child way.
CAN WE STOP FOR A MOMENT TO ADMIRE THE SUPER CUTE IMAGE OF 6 YEAR OLD MORPHEUS THAT JUST POPPED UP IN MY HEAD? AWWWW!
And what do you think about Ivory coming out of an egg? I`m laughing so hard now.
Nessy wrote: "He did had the mind of a six-year old BUT he didn`t forgot his goals. He just accomplished them in a child way."But that's the thing. To me even 6 year old Morpheus seemed more like an adult. He didn't have a child's mind, imo. Maybe that's just my personal opinion.
Your theory about Ivory is interesting. I hope we'll learn in Ensnared how netherlings are born.
Awww young Ivory cracking her way out of an egg :)OK,the cracking her way out part sort of scares me xD
Ivory wouldn't use her fists or teeth, I can just imagine her tapping away with a delicate chisel.

So Nessy asked if Morpheus had a collection of whips and feathers, and A.G. replied that we will learn something about his preferences for love play in book ..."
Ye
Sooo he has water bed and likes to play with fire...interesting...
But then that lighthouse bed was just a normal bed...
BUT THEN THEY CAN HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THE BATH SCENE WITH CANDLES FROM GAME OF THRONES! REMEMBER? WITH VISERIS!
