hahaha I'm going to read that book.. I can't wait for the torture

Normally I'd say there's limited reading potential, why torture yourself... but considering how much you read in a given day/week/month/YEAR I don't really think that aspect applies to you too much honestly :P

I'm more likely to finish a book I don't like if it's audio, though the length of the audio does matter.

Fair.
I know there's some books that I'm likely to hate that I really want to read regardless because I know they're likely to be so bad I'll enjoy them XD;; (...such as The Vampire Diaries. I really want to read those to see just how awful they are).

I've definitely read some books for that very reason.

(I never seem to have the time or motivation to go to the library*, I mostly use the app to borrow the eBooks instead)
(*the closest one is shut down for renovations and has been for AGESS and the others are too far away >.>)

I don't think I've DNF-ed a book yet. I hope the ending will make up for it, usually it doesn't but then I can say I know it didn't get better
