(view spoiler)[We are getting the back story to when Kate is young and is first diagnosed. Sara is kind of looking like the bad guy. She is just having Anna to save Kate and using her for that sole purpose. Brian seems guilty about it, but Sara is relentless.

I don't really care for the whole Julia/Campbell history. It's not interesting to me. He dumped her and she wanted to be with him. And it happened in high school, can we get over it?

I wonder if Anna will stick to her guns. She's young, but I don't blame her. Such a sad situation all around.. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[The more I read, the more outdated this book is. They talk about how expensive cell phones are, Filene's Basement, Humvees (are they still made), and the whole service dog thing. Nowadays its so common and politically incorrect to say "but you're not blind?"

Brian and Jesse are siding with Anna on this whole issue, which is very telling. Jesse acts out all the time because he's so overlooked. The whole family revolves around Kate and her well being, which is messed up but at the same time how can you blame them. There are better ways to manage the whole situation.. (hide spoiler)]

Trial is intense. Campbell is making Sara the bad guy and it's maybe working. The whole Taylor story is so sad, but I'm glad Kate got the chance to experience "love" (hide spoiler)]

I’m glad Anna won the case. Kate was the real hero in her selflessness of wanting Anna to have a normal life and let go of being a donor. Such a tough situation either way..

Anna’s death tore me to shreds. I’m glad Jesse cleaned up his act and Kate lived thanks to Anna’s kidney. A wild turn of events.. (hide spoiler)]
