Hello! I love KOTLC and am team Sokeefe all the way. I enjoy dance and piano, and am addicted to books. I read when I am supposed to be doing so many things lol, until I have to force myself to take a break just to catch up on life.

everyone really be out here forgetting that fitz vacker is a character that has undergone very severe emotional and physical trauma.
i see people (here, but also especially in the instagram fandom) talk about his massive amount of privilege and the fact that there is nothing for him to be angry about. the fact that he is spoiled and he’s a brat. and you know what? fine, i see where that comes from. but hear me when i say this.
any privilege that he has should not invalidate his emotions or his trauma because he is “lucky compared to everyone else.”
fitz vacker was raised under the tremendous pressure to be perfect, by his family, by his society. shannon doesn’t even go into how this effects him negatively, painting him as this person who is happy to be in the spotlight, sometimes even borderline arrogant.
i call bull on this. it does a complete disservice to his character. it makes me so freaking mad. that pressure alone would make anyone crack, anyone have the issues that fitz has.
let’s dig deeper. let me point out to you that other than sophie, fitz has the best knowledge of humans. despite the fact that his family is practically royalty, he should be in the greatest position to understand and empathize with humanity (besides sophie). we don’t get to see any of this either.
fitz has been searching for sophie since he was young. imagine how scared he must have been at the beginning. imagine the things that might have happened. the fact that he just has to find this girl adds to the pressure. he was disappearing all the time. people must have talked. he must have been very lonely. it must have been so hard for him to make friends. people are always watching him.
being one of the most powerful elves must not have helped the situation.
his emotional growth must have been stunted.
he finds sophie. his world is turned upside down. he loses his father. he is scared. he is in fintan’s mind, seeing the darkness and coldness of a shattered mind. he is in the fire and he has to jump from a tower many stories off the ground. he has to run away to join the black swan because of his instinct to protect. he gets run through by a poisonous bug trying to save those around him. he gets his leg and heart fucking destroyed by a woman and her shadows. his brother is a freaking murderer and he blames himself. he has to find him, he has to fix this. it’s the only way to redeem himself. he is pushed away by the girl he trusts more than anyone. that trust is not returned. his reputation is being threatened, the one thing that’s been drilled into his mind that should be valued above all else, because he can’t mess up, he just can’t mess up. he has to be strong for everyone else, because they all have issues worse than he does, right?
he is scared. it comes out as anger.

Kid I am team Keefitz I thought that was obvious-but okay. There's nothing wrong with Keefe. I'm a little pissed at the fandom for babying him, but every character has their flaws and shouldn't be criticized for being a person.

Wow, Lemon. You almost made me like Fitz more lol. I still love Keefe more, and wish he was real. But Fitz is so sweet I always feel bad when Sophie doesn't trust him as much as he trusts her. I also feel super bad for Keefe though, an he goes through so much and hides it with his amazing humor.

The adult main characters are like Grady and Edaline, Sophie's adoptive parents, the 12 Councillors(just ignore them) Alden and Della (fitz and biana's parents) Mr. Forkle(weird frumpy guy, head of the Black Swan) Granite/Tiergan yeah, it's kinda confusing if you don't read the series first.
There's also the neverseen, which are the bad guys, so Fintan, Gisela (keefes mom) gethen, ruy, vespera, etc.

Honestly, he was a little jerky. But relationships have TWO people, and it was both their faults for not working out. Sophie wasn't that good at communicating with him, and he wasn't very good at listening. but remember, he apologized for his actions and he is AIMING to do better.

Hello, so I was thinking, wouldn't it be sort of a love square sort of thing? Like add Dex in. I mean I feel like he should be added in there, because he really likes her. I feel bad that he is always left out things. He is such a good friend to Sophie.

Yes, I only haven't read the very latest book that she put out.
I don't completely remember what happened though, like in that book specifically. I was rereading the series before I read the last book and nightfall was the next one when we had to stop going to the library.
