I think that if Sophie ends up with Dex, no one can be mad. Everybody loves Dex, even if they don't ship them after Nightfall. Unless, of course, my friend's theory works out (which I think I've already posted, but if not, I can repost it).

IDK< I know I'm weird, but I like it when main characters get hurt so their role becomes more obvious or they seem more important, and also uh, they take less things for granted and plus they're smaller? IDK, I just enjoy it when the main character's in pain. don't ask.

I just realized how similar all of the conversations are. . . We can stop talking about death to Sophie, but I still support the idea!

At first, I thought you were saying # sophies hall die, and I was very confused.

I don't like soda, or coffee, or anything caffinated.

My friend's theory is that:

1. Fitz will find out his legacy and will freak out and once again embrace his anger issues.
2. Sophie will come to Keefe for comfort, but he will mess it up trying to be comforting while being joking, because despite his empath abilities he's not great with being empathetic
3a. Sophie presses her panic ring so that she can be comforted by her best friend (Dex) instead or
3b. Sophie goes home for comfort of family or to cry into her pillow, but she is then attacked by the Neverseen, so she presses her panic ring anyway
4. Dex comes in and does his best to rescue her (maybe he succeeds, maybe not) and they go on an adventure reminiscent of book 1 to restore their love

Also, I agree with the theory minus the fact that Keefe is bad with emotions. I mean, he's pretty bad with them, but when it comes to Sophie, he knows how to be empathetic. He'll probably mess up in a different way though, which is why I agree with the theory.

I kind of hope this will happen:

Fitz discovers something terrible that will put everyone in danger. Fitz gets angry, because of course he does. Fitz, without thinking, does something impulsive that makes the situation worse. Everyone is angry with Fitz. Fitz vanishes to try and make it better. He is missing for the better half of the book. He comes back at the end with a solution, and that is to sacrifice himself in order to save everyone. He sacrifices himself. Everyone is sad (except me). Then everything turns out okay in the end, even though Sophie is heavily traumatized, Keefe is even more traumatized, Dex is just kind of there, and Fitz, like the Mary Sue that he is, is dead.
