Hey Christelle! I took a short - very short - nap after noon, but that doesn't mean I'm wide awake now. LOL. Sorry that your sleep was fitful but yayyyyyy for your repaired faucet!!!! Well done! :)

Yeah, I noticed you were up late! Hope you could at least take a nap during the day.
And YAY for your faucet finally getting fixed!! It took him long enough to get the job done, though.

Why older ? Did I miss something that indicate he's older ?

Ah, he did come? Sorry, I missed that part, but I'm sure you would have made it as well. I have faith in you! :)

No, I just thought he would be mid-to-late twenties. I don't know why... LOL

Thanks, Josy. And no nap :-( I'm sitting in my kitchen so that I don't get comfy and sleep on you all, LOL !!!

Pfftt...I have no confidence in my brain cells, today : I was afraid to have blacked-out, LOL

How about you take a nap now? As fast as you read, you will be able to catch up with us in no time! Don't force yourself if you are too tired.

I don't even have words for how much I hate her!!

You're too sweet, Josy. But I prefer not to or I won't be able to sleep tonight. And I so much prefer being with you all !!
Although, I still don't like to discover Hernan's past. No wonder he wanted out of El Savador :-(

..."
Yep, right there with you and it doesn't get any better...

I'm just wondering one thing. I get that people want to flee El Savador. What I wonder is why Costa Rica is not an option : I would assume it's a cheaper way.
And reading chapter 12 makes me cringe even harder as right now, in France, an immigration law is under review and some of our politicians are trying to fight against family reunions (Jesus, they don't find normal for kids with asylum rights to be with their parents and brothers and sisters, grrrr....)

~hugs~

Well, I don't know about Costa Rican rights, but I can't imagine that it would be any easier. It's a poor country itself, so I don't think they want to take on any refugees... :(

I really couldn't say. Maybe they think they will have better chances of earning money in the US or remaining undetected longer? Sorry, it's just speculation because I don't know anything about Costa Rica.
And yes, it's like this everywhere. In some countries worse than in others but immigration laws are always a hot topic.

Hello, Christelle! I appreciate your offer but I think that I already vetoed the theory. I just went and read the Bauer Byte, "May is for Maudlin..and Mike" and (view spoiler)
Really looking forward to your reviews for this story! It seems...intense.

Not since she wrote about one hour and a half ago... I had to take a short break to feed Jimmy, but I'm back now. :)

Same here :-(

Okay.
I need to take a short break soon, too, to feed Glori :)
36% I really don't want to know what happened on Hernán's journey...

Uh-oh.... Yeah, he always said he failed Albert and Andrea, right? Somehow I don't want to know... :(

Yes : I have that thought in my head as well :-( It's not going to end well, I'm afraid :-(

Yeah. That's what I was thinking as soon as I read their names...

Also I promised hubby bar-b-que ribs for supper so I needed to get them cooking...I has been a busy lady this morning but I am here now.

Hey Karen! Again. ;-) No problem, you read so fast anyway. ;-)
I'm eating dinner now, so I might be a bit quiet, but I'm still reading. :)

Hi, Karen ~waves~
You are forgiven because you provided the knives we so desperately need :)
I'm at the break in chapter 14 - 38% crossing the river - and I need to feed Glori now. I'll be back shortly :)

I'm into it and wish for the memories to be over and down. It's heart-breaking :-(

Hey, Ariana. I hope you had a great day.
We are all around chapter 13-14, I guess and it's tough :-(
I hope that it gets less poignant by 50%, LOL, although you get me worried a bit ;-)

Woow this is out on Audio... thanks i didn't know that.

I'm at the short break in chapter 14 now where Josy stopped and yeah, just like Christelle, you had me worried a bit. LOL.

Hi, Ariana!!
Wow, chapter 22? And I must admit, I'm worried about what more is to come. Right now, the memories are really heartbreaking.

You are very welcome! :) I knew it would be out soon thanks to Riptide's website, but didn't know the date. :)

I'm dreading what is to come...
I'm halfway through chapter 15. I read faster now because I want to get this over with.

Silly me, I'm into chapter 16, not 15. OK, it's not spoiling, it's giving a supportive hand. Josy, hold tightly and then, it seems there's a glimmer of hope.
