Lennie has a distinct outlook and his character. He liked small soft things, but he was a dolt with tall strong body. The only thing he could do was the manual labor, that character represent to the lower class of the capitalism society. He wanted to control his life, like to control his strength. But he couldn’t, he liked that small mouse, that soft smooth mouse, he killed it when he was founding it. From Lennie we can easily find out what the life of manual labor was, and from his story find out what the society was like that time.
